This is a bit of a shot in the dark, and the game is so new I don't know if anyone will be able to help me, but here goes:
I'm trying to download and install HER Interactive's latest Nancy Drew game. They had some issues with the server being overloaded yesterday (the release day) but I still can't get things working. I'm able to download the Digital River Download Manager (which is supposed to contain the installation thingy for the game) but cannot get it to work. I can get to the screen where I choose where I want to install the game files, and then it crashes. Every time.
I've contacted HER customer service, and a nice person was trying to help me via e-mail, but she's since stopped responding. (Presumably the office have closed for the night.) Contacted Digital River as well, but they were utterly clueless. I'm hoping some of the more tech-savvy people here might have some thoughts.
Some details: I'm running Windows 7 64-bit OS. I have tried restarting my computer, I've tried turning off antivirus and firewall programs, I've tried installing the program on a different computer, I've tried updating my graphics driver, and I've tried running the program in compatibility modes and running it as an administrator. Nothing I tried fixed the problem. Any thoughts?
