The only way a game would auto anything, kjos, is because of a batch file on the disk directing traffic, as it were.

If it doesn't auto install or auto run, then this batch file isn't on the disk and you'll have to install the game or run it by doing what you've done.

If you didn't see it, look for a setup file on the disk and double click on it to activate it. This file will either run or install the game. If it installs the game just follow the on screen instructions. If it runs the game, enjoy.

Is this for all games or just one like Homer is saying? If you don't have autoplay enabled, you can always enable it. Many people don't have it enabled as it can be quite annoying sometimes.

What operating system do you have.. XP, Vista, Windows 7?

There is a difference between Autorun and Autoplay. Autorun will look for an execution or setup file on a disk and run it. In Windows 7 Autorun has been disabled for non-optical (not a CD or DVD) devices like USB flash drives because of the danger of infections from these devices. Autoplay will look for the content on a disk and display a dialogue box asking what program you want to use to play the content.

To enable Autoplay in Windows 7, open up the Control Panel and switch to Icon view. Click on Autoplay and make your selections.

Just navigate to your CD drive in My Computer; right click the CD drive icon; left click on Properties and then click on the Autoplay tab to make your selections.
