Hi robert,

Maybe there is more than one lot of planks? The ones you need are four steps in from the start of the night-vision sequence, then turn to your left to see the planks. Are those the ones you're looking at? Perhaps only one of them is active, try moving your cursor around each one.

Robert,

I sent you the closest saved game I have. luck

I believe the saved game might be in My Documents.
If not check the installed game folder.

hi rushes. when i come across planks, what is the icon, for lack of a better word, to take a plank as opposed to a magnifying glass? robert.

Robert,

I presume it is a hand cursor to grab an item.

In a translated walkthrough I looked at - it is 3 steps at start of the wide cavern and it is at left side.

Hi robert, as MaG said above, the save folder is likely in My Documents -- so check there. If it is, then drag and drop the renumbered file to the Lost Crown folder there. If it isn't there -- run a file search. luck

You're looking for a folder with files titled similarly to the one you renumbered, i.e. starting from save001.tlc and so on up.

Once you've moved your file into that folder, exit out of all folders, start up the game as usual and load the new save from the in-game load screen.

hi rushes. i have been trying to access MAG'S walkthrough of the lost crown for days now due to the message 'file not found'. i have refreshed my firefox browser as instructed by your support staff, but to no avail. is there anything you can do? the support staff say Gameboomer's site has no problem. robert.

Robert,

You mentioned that you cannot access "GB walkthroughs" - you didn't specify The Lost Crown.

Anyhow - the walkthrough is still here; I didn't find any problem:

Hope that gets you the link.

You can check it here.

Quote:
Q: My updater doesn't seem to change the Walkie-Talkie issue.
A: When installing the Updater; make sure you install to the exact same location as your game files. On XP and Vista, this is usually Program Files/The Lost Crown. If you changed the default directory path, you will need to install the Updater to that location. Secondly, some gamers have reported that the Updater did not fully download. If your Updater fails to fix the Walkie-Talkie issue, please download it again, and re-install. Install the Updater, which can be found here.

It looks like it's a fix for the walkie talkie.

Thanks MaG
I only played the game once and I don't recall having any problems with it. I think it's time for a replay. LOL.
