I'm Blackthorne from Infamous Quests/Infamous Adventures. Some of you may have played our remakes of Space Quest 2 and King's Quest III... we're a small, independent adventure game studio, comitted to making retro styled adventure games.

We've just released a demo for our first original game, Quest For Infamy - a game in which you play a more morally gray hero-type. Well I downloaded the demo. It plays in a window and to get it to a proper size I had to reduce my Screen resolution to 800X600 and now it covers most of my monitor screen.

I've been wandering around for a while and the only thing I've been able to accomplish so far is to urinate in a barrel and I guess I need a fishing pole. Maybe I'll find something else to do later.

Don't do that to me! I almost drenched my monitor in coffee, laughing. I hope that fishing pole doesn't have anything to do with fish in a barrel.

Ah yes the old fish in a barrel trick. Actually I should have clarified. What I meant to say was that I found a fisherman that needs a fishing pole and I'm assuming that I have to find it for him.

The game plays as one would expect in that it is very much like a Kings Quest game. It appears to have a pretty dark sense of humor (which appeals to me). So far I'm enjoying the demo even if I can't accomplish anything.

My character doesn't have any particular goal to quest after so I'm probably missing something. But I will continue on in my quest to find a quest.

I'll be trying this later, too. I have it downloaded ready

Played for a little while now and accomplished one quest.


I need to find a way to sleep though - or advance time somehow

The funding was successful !! We can now look forward to a full game

Anyone know if this is a stand alone demo, and not for instance the first chapter or alike of the full game?

That is great news! They have 18 days to go so I hope that number keeps rising.

Yes, I know!

The demo is basically the first chapter of the game. There will be more added to it for the full game (All the shops and proprietors will be open and accessible, etc.) but the basic essence that kicks off the story is in the demo.

It's a taste of the world of QFI, and the start of Mr. Roehm's adventures!


And we made funding - so this baby is totally happening. We're all psyched about it!

Just want to thank all of you for your support over here! It means a lot to us - it's just nice to see support for adventure games.

Well, since the Kickstarter ended, as was a rousing success, We've brought on several new background artists to help out, and they've been turning out some beautiful looking classic gaming-style artwork.

Here's a little teaser pic of some of the new game art - this is by our artist, Jon Stoll. Jon's worked with Infamous Adventures for years in several capacities - he was actually the voice of the Narrator in our version of King's Quest III.
