Is anyone else who pledged to this not getting e-mail from Amazon saying the account has been charged? I've received an e-mail from the Kickstarter project but not from Amazon, and I have no way that I can tell to determine whether or not I've been charged. duh

I don't think Amazon sends out a notice -- only Kickstarter. I went on my Amazon account, and I don't see any mention of any of the Kickstarter pledges that I've been charged for.

You may have to see your credit card statement for verification. frown

Strange, I received a notice from Amazon for both Jane Jensen and Double Fine's Kickstarters. Maybe it was just a fluke I was lucky enough to experience twice. lol

Glad to know I'm not alone, though. Guess I won't worry about it. Thanks, Becky and Ana. wave

I have one from Amazon for all the Kickstarters saying that you have agreed to pay, but I do not have any saying that the kickstarter is over and they officially charged your account.

I'm going back and looking further, and Amazon does send an email when you pledge. There's a link to Amazon Payments in the email, and if you follow the link and then log in to your Amazon account, you should see some of your Kickstarter pledge account activity for the past month. But if you pledged more than a month ago, it might not show up.

Sorry to be so unhelpful! I'm new at this.

I received email from Kickstarter not Amazon about Spaceventure being founded.

Many thanks to everyone here for your interest in the project, and for your pledges! smile

As for the transaction authorizations, my credit card does show a pending charge of $1, which indicates to me it is in the process. I know it must be it because I have not used this particular card for anything else from amazon.com.

The whole kickstarter payment interface is completely new to me too, though, this being my first project I've ever followed/contributed to. I hadn't even known what kickstarter was until this event.

But it seems to me everytime you "manage your pledge," as in, move it up or down, you then log into amazon payments as part of the editing process, and it says you will not be charged more than "X" amount for the entire authorization; yet when independently logging into amazon payments again on your own, EVERY authorization from you (all the previous amounts, in my case having been $100, $115, $250, $500, and $525,) are still listed unless and until manually cancelled from inside amazon payments.

I will never know if kickstarter would have autmatically disregarded the previous authorizations and gone for the most recent edit, or if it would have drawn from every transaction, because I went and manually cancelled all the older ones just to be on the safe side. razz

I raised my pledge on Pinkerton Road and Amazon only shows the one payment, it must have erased the first lower one. Doesn't show Two Guys yet.

Strange, I just got the e-mail from Amazon today saying my account was charged. Guess they were late in collecting the payments. Okay, three time fluke? grin

The fluke theory works for me!

Did you make the first two pledges near the end of those particular Kickstarter campaigns? Because if you did, your pledge (and Amazon's message about it) and the actual charging of your account would have happened close together. Whereas if you pledge at the START of a campaign, and it goes on for six weeks, there may be a long gap between the two.

If that makes sense.
