Hi everyone. My old post is gone so I guess it was past it's prime--so here's a new one because believe it or not, I'm STILL playing.

Well, tonight I decided to do something totally different and become a vampire. It's fun having a new quest to do, although everyone who sees me pretty much hates me-lol. But I'm doing the Aundae clan quests and have gotten stuck on something. The head vampire has asked me to kill a large number of vampires from the other two clans, but when I went to each of their lairs, I realized that I'd already killed them. I haven't been able to find console codes that would get me past this, so I'm wondering if anyone might know what else I can do?

Tracy, have you tried just going back to the quest giver to see if he acknowledges their deaths? Haven't been a vampire yet, but I have played Morrowind a lot. If anyone has an answer this forum Bethesda Morrowind Forum can definitely answer your question. They've gotten me thru a lot.

Since I recently reformatted my system, I no longer have Morrowind on it. This is the first time since I've owned it (when it first came out) that it isn't there.

It would be nice to start a new playthru from scratch, adding in only my favorite mods but there are so many other games I need to give a chance. Especially since I recently obtained Skyrim for Xbox. Anticipating playing that but want to finish my current playthru of Lands of Lore before I go there.

Hi Tracy, I never played a vampire in all my playthroughs of Morrowind (sorry to say) and they have been numerous.

However, I can't find the particular quest you mentioned but here is a complete list of all the Vampire quests with the cheats listed to either cure vampirism or bypass a particular quest etc.

Thanks so much you guys! I haven't tried to cure myself yet, but that's definitely a quest I'm going to do soon. I DID find the console code I needed just now OldMan---I'd missed it somehow because it was hidden in the Vampire Hunter section. Thank you!

I'm going to go give that try and then see if I can do more quests. It's sort of odd and fun being out only at night and only able to talk to certain people. Thank God I got the master index thingy though because no one will help me travel! lol

Thanks again everyone, and btw, you should definitely try being a vampire one time Old Man, and Sharon I hope you get to do a new play through. I started playing this game for the first time last year I think it was, and so for me it's all still "new". (despite 3 or so playthroughs already--lol)

Tracy I just love the game Morrowind . And you make me want to play it again. I must resist! There is Skyrim to play...

It is hard for me to play something new when there are so many older games I want to replay. I'm sure once I sink my teeth into Skyrim I won't be thinking about playing anything else for a while. Still I must complete my wonderful game of Lands of Lore. I'm giving those enemies heck!

Thanks Sharon. And I'm glad I've tempted you into playing Morrowind again! lol Hope you have fun with ALL the games but a word of warning....I played Skyrim for six months straight and was compltely obsessed with it, so you might not come up for air for awhile once you satrt that one.

I have never tried that. I like to be "All-Powerful".

Tell us what you are up to now. Have you started the main quest yet? What's your play style/strategy? -- I'd really like to start acquiring some powerful armor/weapons, enchantments, spells...

Hey Sharon. Sorry--I noticed that I'd missed a post of yours and wanted to respond! I did finally get past that part in the game with some console codes--I don't know what I would do if it weren't for the console and these games sometimes, I swear!

btw---doing good but have finished the vampire quests (the regular ones and the ones for the Aundae clan) and so I did the quest to cure the vampirism and now I'm good ol' me again. LOL It was fun but you never really got to bite someone's neck like in Oblivion--you just had a spell that would take the health out of your "victims". It's weird too because like you said they are all powerful, but going around Morrowind, no one was really that afraid of me! They were mostly like, "Get out of here, we don't like your kind..." or something similar, so I ended up feeling sort of isolated because I couldn't really intereact with the NPCs. I'm hoping that the DLC Dawnguard for Skyrim will be alot better as far as the whole vampire experience, and I think it's coming out later this month so I'm psyched!

Let's see...well as far as Morrowind I've done all of the quests for each House (Redoran, Hlaalu, Telvanni) and belong to each House and have my own home from those quests,(there is a mod that allows you to join all three houses, so as soon as I found that, that's what I did!) I'm the Arch-mage of the Mage's Guild, and am doing the Morag Tong quests now. I almost feel bad saying it but it's kind of fun to sneak around killing people. Thank God they're just make-belive though--I could never do it for real!

I guess my style is to sort of level up as much as I can, then buy the best armor and weapons (or sometimes I'll find a powerful weapon on the Morrowind wiki page and put it into my game using the console--cheating yes, but what the heck) then I usually decide on a guild or House to join and jump into the quests. I LOVE doing quests and I also love levitating when I travel as I do them, so it's fun to give myself ALOT of rising force potions in the console and then take off over the mountains! Whoo-hoo! lol! I just love that.

Hope that you're having fun with your game too and that you've gotten all the goodies you want to get. Maybe my dunmer adventurer will run into you one of these days.

PS Yes, Skyrim is awesome, Skyrim next is a great motto!

Glad to hear from you Tracy! Glad to hear you recovered from your vampire glitch.

I paused my play time to do some maintenance on my computer. I'm finally learning about the file structure and where to find things.

I think I've got things in order now so I can go back to what I like doing most! Kicking enemy behind and detecting CLUE's.
