I just finished playing Alter Ego. It was fairly good, if bit careless at points. I actually enjoyed the story and how the conclusion brought all the details together, and then...it didn't. Does anyone have an explanation for the ending and/or has anyone heard news of a sequal?

I think the general consensus is that the game needs a sequel to wrap up the ending.
