i have an issue in BM III, i can't swich between Valentina and Gordon.
the characters on top left have disapeared!

If the character icons are not up at top left of screen; maybe the switch is not possible at that point in the game.

Maybe play more or check items-area again.
Or if they are both there, see if you can talk to the other character.
If still no go - best to replay and then see if you missed something.

i go according to your walkthrough. but i will follow your instruction and i will go back and play again in case i miss something.
i am inside the cage on the catacombs with the male character and i can't switch...

i played all again.... nothing happened except that the cage's rope is on valentinas inventory (which i can't axcess )

If I remember correctly, Adrian enters the cage; solve the puzzle and then go down to the platform below.
Automatically, Valentina will come down. So I believe that you are okay.
Be sure that you have talked to Valentina before entering the cage.

no,nothing happens. they are both down to the cage, she holds the rope and I, Andrian, can't use it. i can only get in and get out of the cage. and i have nothing to say to her.
i made again all the steps of the chapter according to the walkthrough...

It looks like the cage is not setup correctly.
Go through the "pull the well chain" part again.
Be sure that you do these:
See the cage pulled up when the chain is wound up by the water pump.

Use the rope on the well. Adrian ties it on the column.
