I'm having trouble with the piano puzzle. I've opened the box on the side-seen the symbols, but according to a WT, the top of the piano is supposed to open an expose numbered buttons. Not happening. I've already received 3 map pieces, but still can't go any further with this puzzle. Help!

You need to solve the side of the piano puzzle before the piano opens up. The solution is random. Have you solved the symbol puzzle?

YOu can find the order of the symbols on the bench as shown here. You need to find your order though since it can be different.

Thanks, Ana..got it.
Now, I've finished up with the piano, and the puzzle in the cemetary. The cannons should be next. On one of the WTs it shows the map lit up in red..Mine is not doing that.I was sure I had all of the stamps. I've checked the cannons, but nothing happens when I push the symbol buttons...

The cannons are random and you will need all the map pieces to do it. Do you have them all?

Have gone back but can't find any more stamps, so I'm fairly sure I have them all. Not sure what to do with the map and cannons. The Roman numerals on the cannons don't show up on the map. You said it's random, so what am I looking for?

Hi gillann,

Here is a link where a number of explanations are provided on how to solve the cannons-in-the-swamp puzzle.

Let us know if you need more information; this is quite a tricky part of the game. wave

Thanks..I found the 6 humerals, but when I try to enter them on the cannon, nothing happens. It says to put them in order from top to bottom, but that doesn't work, either, I can get one of the buttons to go down, but it pops up as soon as I click in the next numeral. Feeling so-ooo stupid! Just don't get it!

gillann, it's a devil of a puzzle this one - took me several evenings - but thanks to one clear walkthrough that Ana gave me, I managed it in the end. Such a good game that I just would not give up on this part of the game.

I finally had all the skulls and placed them per a WT, but realized that it's random. Went back to the masoleum and got the correct placement. Game ended, but I thought there was an extra puzzle with the pirate ship. Didn't happen...

THe pirate ship continues with the Collector's Edition. Do you have the Standard or Collector's version?

I hope you enjoyed the game.

I have the Collector's Edition. I may have stopped the game too soon. Is there any way to get back to it?

The game saves your player profile. Unless you have finished the game, starting up your player profile should take you back to where you were in the game when you exited. wave

Marian, can I sneak in here with a question? I bought the game, and you are right: I am loving it. However, I am in the Music Room, looking for the red crayon that I saw earlier (Magnolia wants them all returned), and it has disappeared. And no, I did not accidentally pick it up earlier. It won't let you take it prematurely.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing? I sure hope it is not a glitch!

Looking at a walkthrough, it says that the red crayon is located:

Click to reveal..
in the den, to the left of the music room. See if you can find it in there.

Oh, shucks. It was my own bad note-taking. The room next to the piano room. Thanks, Marian!

I finished it, and really enjoyed it all the way through. Quite a sense of humor. The part with the canons would have been very difficult without a nudge, so thanks for that. I was thinking we had to find 13 separate cannons, never dreaming there would be multiple skulls in each of only three cannons! My fault for thinking too hard. LOL
