It also looked like he experimented in a couple of places with 360 degree panning.
That was a nice touch indeed. I sometimes feel full 360 panning is not always needed in some games which use it at every screen. It's useful for orientation where you have many directions you can go, but using it sparingly is a good move.
I was very impressed by the moving water. I did think the orientation became confusing at some points especially in the mountains, but that is probably something that comes with experience. Oh and the sound of the doors opening was... yeah
As a demo, I'd certainly buy a game based on this work.
