Thanks, Ana. If this game is anything like Margrave: Curse of the Severed Heart, I think I will probably like it very much. wave

Loved the opening movie. Very nice artwork as well. Have only played about 15 mins. of demo, but will probably buy this one. I also enjoyed the "Severed Heart" game.

I have purchased it without playing the demo. I haven't had time yet to start the game but reading all of the reactions it sounds like a good buy! I too liked "The Severed Heart". So hopefully this will be as good or better. wave

Let us know what you think, Marlene. I am downloading the demo now to take a look at it. Sparkle, if you buy the game, I would love to hear more of your impressions of it. wave

"As the Margrave saga nears its devastating conclusion", so is this the last of a series? I am a sucker for a serial. Haven't played any of the Margrave games. More adventure than HOG?

The first Margrave game was pretty much a straight HOG; the second game was somewhat more involved. I thought Curse of the Severed Heart (the third game) was by far the most interesting of the first three games. As far as I understand, this fourth game pretty much continues the story from the third game and the first two aren't really related to this storyline except having the same main character.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is right. smile

This game is too deep for me. Didn't get past the first 2 scenes. I uninstalled it. I played the others though and loved them. Oh well, there will be others. Experience tells me this.

Patsy, maybe I was just having an off day, but when I played the demo, other than finishing the HOG scene, I couldn't figure out how to solve any of the puzzles and had no idea what to do next. wave grin

The puzzles in the demo were indeed somewhat different to other games, but this is exactly what I liked about this game - it's individuality - some of the puzzles were very creative.

Interesting game. I am not familiar with the previous games. During my initial "attack" with the demo, I, too, found the puzzles quite "puzzling" but, kept going on into new scenes because I found it all refreshingly different. Left the demo unfinished for a few days and just came back to finish the demo. Still undecided, I read the above reactions to the game. Conclusion: I never buy collector's editions...but, I WILL buy this game when it is released as a regular. Can't put my finger on it all but there are things about this game that are very compelling and its very complexity makes it interesting. Yes, some of the puzzles take a bit of thought...but, isn't that the whole purpose?

I myself dont buy CEs - but for sure I will buy the SE when it is released. I think it is totally refreshing to be confronted with new puzzles, instead of the old ones we have all seen a hundred times before. Kudos to the creators, I say bravo

There was a nice interview with the developer of the Margrave games which you can read here; it was posted on the Big Fish Games blog. wave

Hi, Ana!

I'm still on the fence with this one. I played the demo but I found it a bit confusing, not to mention I couldn't figure out how the map worked lol !

Same here, BET; perhaps I'll put it on my wish list for a later date. Thanks for the info Marian. I'll be putting the third on my list as well. I agree with the rest of you about waiting for the SE.

This game is something very different. I agree with Susan that it's somewhat confusing, mostly because there are so many variables involved in order to move forward in the game. I recommend a reading of the SG Introduction for clarification. That being said, I find the artwork to be especially pleasing and don't regret buying the game. I've found that after playing for a while, I'm beginning to catch on to what to look for and how to proceed. An entertaining sort of game in many ways.

Ana, you absolutely should consider this game when you have the time. It's quite challenging and lots of good puzzles/mini-games. I think it's very much your cup of tea.

Ana, I think Sparkle is dead on! You should really like this one. Puzzles are a bit different, the lore is fascinating, and it provides a lot of enjoyment.

What an interesting lot of reactions! Everything from "I uninstalled it" to "Can't wait for a sequel"

My take: I like it enough to go looking for the Sacred heart; hadn't heard of that one. Why do I like it? First, it has a story line that more or less holds together, and it has different puzzles the likes of which I have not seen before. Not so darn many keys to find either. (Keys are boring, aren't they?)

Good voice acting. I know it costs a lot of money to include real actors in a game, but it's worth it when done well. Helps the player connect.

Oops gotta go; more later maybe -
