Well I've downloaded it and run it - which I presume means I've installed it. But do I have to do anything else ?? If I have to "configure" anything I am lost !!!!

Since I never use IE, I didn't download it. Your other option, Mad, is to use Firefox or Chrome or one of the other browsers until they fix it.
