Called me confused, according to ArtDent the F1 key is a feature of Five Cores. But according to GreyFuss there's no reason to use it. So is it or isn't it a key that helps with game play?

If it isn't a usable key during game play then it was a key used during development to allow the designer to access the wireframe to make sure the image was as wanted. And it should have been deactivated during the final development of the game.

If on the other hand it is an active key during the game then it's been programmed incorrectly, and will need a patch to reprogram it.

A correctly programmed game will not allow unintended key presses, they will be ignored. Only those key presses designed for the game will be monitored and acted upon.

ArtDent, you may have been able to use the escape key to get out of the wireframe model; you didn't say if you tried that key. That seems to be a favorite key to get out of things.

It was well worth the 10 bucks and I look forward to another game. Maybe a sequel (please?).

Well, the "country bumpkin" returns to the Adventure games site after an absence of several years. Must be fate. Myst is what got me started with buying a computer just so I could play that game. And, look what's here! I have been on the Casual Games site so long I don't even know what this "Steam"-thing is. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Will I buy this game?.....oh, YES! Adventure land, here I come again.

Why not try pressing other F keys like I did. crazy

Instead of pressing Esc I hit F1 by accident and figured something was wonky.

Just played the game for like an hour.
It looks good and atmospheric.
Though I've explored a lot, I cannot say I really solved anything yet smile Or if I did - I didn't really realize I was. I cannot judge the puzzles yet...

I agree however that the game is rather buggy. I had to restart it for about 5 times after getting stuck in weird corners I can't get out from (yes, I'm snooping everywhere!)

Anyway, respect for the beautiful work -- let's see how it develops.

(I have to say though, despite the Myst vibe, it really isn't close to achieving the depth of Myst, story-wise so far)
