Robert,

I sent you the next saved game I have. This is after the Nefertari's children puzzle.

Load it and then do this from the walkthrough.

Quote:

Open the second coffin. It's empty!

Decode the papyrus scraps:

Take the torn papers from inside the coffin.
Piece them together. Right click to rotate the pieces.
After putting it together, translate the hieroglyphs.
Learn that the true tomb is here.

When you go to load screen, did you scroll down the list to see if the saves I sent and you loaded are at the beginning?

Also - are you loading the files sent in the Tomb folder found in My Documents folder?

Check now and see. Good luck.

No. It should be similar to the files I sent to you.

Are you in the My Documents folder or Document-Settings or whatever they call it in win7?

Maybe you are not looking for the correct folder or the saves are placed in a different folder in win7.

My win7 is not here right now and I didn't play Nancy Drew in that computer.

Best to do a search under Documents and see if there is a "My Documents" in that Documents folder. luck

hi mag. excuse me, i MIGHT have asked before, but the gods puzzle. 10childrennames..., the one with falcon, alligator, lion, jackel etc. is mixed up and not in the same order as your w/t. isn't the saved game puzzle supposed to be in re-arranged order to get the 2nd coffin? robert.

The last saved game I sent you was after the children's name puzzle.
Check the posts in previous page.
So that god's puzzle is done (also the children's name puzzle).

Check the load page and scroll at beginning. If you placed the saved game at correct place, it might be listed at the beginning of the load list (arranged by dates).

Keep us posted.

The dates are seen in the saved game folder - not in the load page.
The load page just lists your saved games.
The game arranges the listing automatically by date-time.

As you posted: 10childrennames

I don't know where win7 keeps Nancy Drew saved games.
In XP, it is in My Documents folder - Tomb of the Lost Queen folder.

Check if you can find My Documents folder in Document Library folder.

For Win7, the saves for this game are here by default:

C:\Users\[computer name]\Documents\Tomb of the Lost Queen

Robert,

Then once you open the game - the saved game that way; save the game right then and there.
Then you proceed using the walkthrough after the 10 children puzzle done.

Good luck.

hi mag. i am replaying 'lost queen' as junior detective instead of senior and back at the mirror puzzle again. i am sure i have asked this question before. - i solved the mirror puzzle, but when i translate the glyphs behind the lamp, the translation is incomplete. how do i get the entire translation in one go? robert.

Are you talking about this glyph?

When you translate a glyph:
- you can use the quick translate at top left and it should do it in one go.
- or do it manually by deducing what the letters are missing. For example - you have a single glyph; that could either be I or A. Slowly deduce the letters.

This is from the walkthrough:

Use the dictionary on the glyphs.

Everyone who had been in this place, they are wretches. There is no remedy for them because I know their names. Beware. This is the taste of death. Darkness shall conceal them.

Then the glyphs cannot be translated.

So just do the one that I posted a picture above. luck
