I am having a problem collecting the cogs. Sherlock has place the one on the mill. Watson has the other cog and has helped the injured man and spoken to the others. Going by the walkthrough the last cog is under the logs by the fire, but I can't get the blind man to tell me this. Sherlock says that he can call Watson if he needs him and Watson is wondering what Sherlock is doing? What have I missed please?? Thanks for any help... think

Get Holmes to ask Watson for the cog by clicking on the hatch on the floor right of the cabinet with costumes.
Then when Watson gets it - then get Watson to give it to Holmes by clicking on the hatch on the ceiling.

I have tried clicking on both hatches numerous times with no success. Holmes has put the cog he found under the sacks on the left hand side of the mill. Watson has the large cog he found by the room divider. I have tried clicking the hatch when Watson is holding this cog, Watson says 'wonder what Sherlock is doing?' Sherlock just says that he can call Watson. I do not have a action hand when I click on these hatches.
I have gone back to a save point and got Watson to place the cog he found on the mechanism downstairs first then clicked on the hatches with the same results. I am still missing one cog and have gone over this whole episode a couple of times with the same result.
I am loving this game and this is the first time I have got stuck!

Edit: solved it!! simple matter of remembering to
Click to reveal..
join the chain and the rope!!
Elementary, my dear Watson

Did you read *both* documents from the flour sack that you emptied as Holmes to get the cog?

Have you clicked on the fake wall yet? There are two spots to click -- the main wall, and the odd crack at its bottom right.

Did you rip up the floor planking, click on all active spots and take the chains?

Holmes then should know what he needs to do, and should be able to call down to Watson.

luck

Edit: Saw your edit. Aha, so that's what it was!
