Yes. For Draclvr to hold on to her senses I suppose a virtual trip would be best

I make a couple of virtual trips half-way across the country every week for computer assistance! What's a little trip across the pond?

We're working our way through some niggling issues. Turns out Mad has the Enterprise version of Windows 7 which is a bit different. I consider this FUN! Plus, like I tell other people, this is how I learn all kinds of new things.

Plus, like I tell other people, this is how I learn all kinds of new things. Isn't the Enterprise version the same as Ultimate only with different licensing? Ultimate seemed a lot like Professional to me, only with Bitlocker and Unix app support added. I've actually never worked with Home, only Professional and one computer with Ultimate.

Hey Drac, what is the difference between the Enterprise and the Home Premium?

I was quite surprised by that also. I assume her son-in-law got it for some reason. It has features which she doesn't need and will never use.

There must be - a simple drag and drop between files doesn't work the way it does in Home or Pro.

She said she got the "red circle." But when she right clicked and selected "add to Library" it worked. Very odd to me... I tried it 3 different ways between my operating systems and drive and drag and drop always worked.

Part of my my Son in Law's business is "computers" so, as he was building my new machine for me, I left it to him which version of Win7 he wanted to put on it. He did say that I would probably have more than I "needed" with Enterprise but he liked it and thought I would too - eventually Unfortunately, the day after he brought the machine round to me he was going on holiday so there wasn't time for him to explain much. However, Draclvr stepped in and has been very kind !! Through experimentation (after I couldn't get the "drag and drop" method to work for me) I have found a way to get files into a library - still using the "Snap" process. I highlight the file I want to move (in one of the snaps) and in the appropriate library (in the other snap) click on a box at the top that says "Include in Library". The file then immediately appears in the library. So. Happiness at last !!

Yes, Inland, the file on her Windows 7 desktop with the pictures she was moving from the XP computer to the Windows 7 computer was from a Network.

I got it once too, but don't remember exactly what I was doing at the time.
I'm still puzzled as to why the drag and drop didn't work between the two files.
