Made it through Halloween almost without incident. Last night not the usual huge hoards roaming the street. Probably only a few hundred and most of my neighbors turned off lights and didn't give out any candy. Up the block was better 'pickins' so most went there. Quiet, orderly, except for the scare when a van parked in front of my mailboxes and sat there for an hour. Couldn't tell if anyone was inside, but I sent my male tenant/friend out to see if he could see anything. I finally went to bed at midnight and the van was still there. Might have gone to a party on the side street. It was gone by 3:30 am when I got up for a bathroom run.

THEN this morning, found my trash cans moved. I had carefully spaced them to minimize the parking because of the extra Apartment people who think my house is perfect for parking in front of. So I get up, take out a bit more trash and find that the can nearest the apartments has been moved down about 5 feet. That left a perfect spot for 2 cars to park instead of the one that was there when I went to bed. Wish I had seen WHO the second car was who moved my can. Grrrrrrr. I would NEVER touch anyone's can.

NO trick-or-treaters last night. I'm glad I didn't buy much candy. This is my first Halloween at my condo so I didn't know what to expect.

Good luck to you Midge. I hope it all works out for you.

No tricktreaters here because no neighbors and the big dogs I've had always scared them away especially my Malamute. She looked so much like a wolf and was 110 pounds.

Sorta's been on a "get out of my way" roll lately. Today that other people's can thing and the other day about yellow and blue make green thing post.

Keep'em comming Sorta!!

For some reason I've been engrossed with WW1 and he dust bowl and I'm reading anything I can find about them. WW1 changed the way wars would be fought with all the new weapons, aireal combat, population relocations.

Oh Midge, I wish you the best. Are there many suitable apts in your area?

Play those games and win!! them all today

Hi there everyone.

Been up at Ginny's most of the day. She was so surprised. I got a picture of her coming in. The decorations came out nice. She is so excited to be back home. She said, "I can sleep in my own bed tonight". Her gal who comes over to help her is spending the night tonight and tomorrow night, then every night next week. Then she will start coming in a couple days a week.

Aw Midgie. She is a +****. Sure hope you find something you like and nicer landlords.

Got a new dishwasher sitting in my kitchen. Hope Jeff can get over tonight and get it installed. If not, it will be tomorrow evening. It looks really nice. All stainless steel.

Well, I see a note to order Bill's test strips so guess I'd best leave here and get them ordered.

Have a fun day everyone.

Bets

Nan, I'm mainly cooking, processing and freezing right now. Hope to make pies, fudge, pumpkin rolls etc. whenever. Had our two special trick or treaters and that is all we ever get. I suspect next year they won't come as they are getting too old for this. I made them special candy corn cupcakes and they seemed happy with the box. Oh no, Midgie, not again. How long have you been there? It seems like only a couple of years?? Hang in there dear Ana and soon you will be free to run and play with the dogs and zumba yourself into happiness...have to feed those endorphins!! Adios and off I go! wave

First thing I had to do was drive Peter to the dealer to get a loaner car because they said his car would be there till at least next Thursday night if not longer. He has had my truck all week but I didn't care because I wasn't going anywhere. We now both have wheels again.

I am now going to run to the store and get groceries. I need lots of fruits and vegetables.

Tomorrow my dogs will run until they get too tired. I promised them. puppy

I can't believe I am excited to go grocery shopping! rotfl

Moi? On a rampage? You betcha. Sometimes I get into the 'let everyone walk all over me mode' and have to get myself out. It won't last long, soon I'll be my happy 'nothing can bother me' self.

However...while we are on the subject! Strange pervert in his oh so recognizable truck, drove down my driveway and turned around and drove out today. I really want to know why he did that. It's a dead end, nowhere to go. He's been around this neighborhood long enough to know that. I think he's just 'looking'. Dunno. All I really know is he tends to park on the street, sits in his truck 24/7 and stares at women and girls. Very creepy. I've talked to him twice when I was outside and he pulled up and asked if I needed my grass mowed. How can you mow grass that is non-existent? It was so obvious he just wanted to talk to me. Gonna look on the 'offenders' registry and see if I recognize him. Maybe that's why he seems to have no home and is always creepy.
