To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.

5. We have descended into the garden and caught three hundred slugs. How I love the mixture of the beautiful and the squalid in gardening. It makes it so lifelike. ~Evelyn Underhill wave

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

6. Bamboo: A plant bought as an infant to create a small vertical background in the garden. Instead, gardeners find that they've installed a behemoth that grows thirty feet tall, and is so invasive that it takes them twenty minutes to find the front door after parking in their driveways. ~ Art Wolk

10. Your first job is to prepare the soil. The best tool for this is your neighbor's garden tiller. If your neighbor does not own a garden tiller, suggest that he buy one. ~Dave Barry wave

1. Give me odorous at sunrise a garden of beautiful flowers where I can walk undisturbed. ~ Walt Whitman

To me, "odorous" would make more sense if it were elsewhere in the sentence. For instance:

an odorous garden ...
or
a garden of beautiful odorous flowers ...

wave
