C1 C2 C3 : them's 3 cabins !

6 guys, baptized A, B, C, D, E, F, rent the above 3 cabins: 2 guys per cabin.

D is not in C2
F is not in C3
B is not paired with C or E
C is not paired with A or D
F is not next door to B or C

Who's where?

Just the answer will do.
If you're brave and wanna supply the why's, go ahead!

C1: CF
C2: AE
C3: BD

Remove dude "D" from C2 leaving ABCEF. Both B and C can't occupy the center cabin because "F" would have to be next door in either C1 or C3, leaving AEF but "F" also can't be in C2 because B and C are in the two outside cabins making C2 = AE. That leaves BCDF unknown. Since B and C can't be paired, nor can C and D that pairs BD and CF. Since C1 is the only choice remaining for F they take C1 and BD take C3.

Did you ever stop to think and then forget to start again?

Yepper Cue....well done praise

As you say, the "trick" is since F is not in C3 (given),
and F can't be in C2 (else would be next door to B or C),
then F is in C3...then remainder falls into place...
