Hi smile
Although I was always able to play the original Scratches game I was never able to get the Director's Cut version running until now !!
[It's playing like a dream on my new Win7 machine happydance]

But .... Does anyone know where will I find the saved games ??

I've looked everywhere I can think of - using the info given here during my similar enquiry re Testament of Sherlock saves - and with hidden files enabled - but so far I haven't managed to find any of the three saves I've made woozy

Can anyone help, please ??

[I'm running Win7 Enterprise.]

Cheers.

Mad grin

If this is a pre - Vista game then have a try in the virtualstore folder

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\VirtualStore

USER is of course your username.

Pre-Vista - means for OSes before Vista. When older pre vista games try to save to their own folder in the Program Files directory then Vista and Win 7 redirect those saves to the VirtualStore dir instead. It's a security measure

I decided to ask at GOG as well - and got an immediate reply.

And the saves were exactly where GOG said they would be :

C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Nucleosys\Scratches Director's Cut

So, problem solved !!

bravo bravo

There's that "Roaming" folder being used for saves again -- hidden away in the hidden AppData folder. Why do they do that? The obvious place would be in the Documents folder.

I certainly agree, Jenny100 !!

Or maybe having the option somehow of moving saves to a more sensible place oneself ?? yes

Still, right now I'm just grateful to GOG for telling me where they are laugh

At least GOG knew where they were.
