Fill in the answers to the clues by using the available syllables. The number of syllables in an answer is followed by the number of letters for each clue. Syllables are used only once. When the clues are correctly answered, their first and last letters, reading down, will reveal someones sage advice.

Example: Syllable puzzle [4-12] (solution: syl + la + cros + tic)

sherlock

Starting Syllables: A AD AL BEE BLE BRAL BROI BUM BUR CA CAL CATES CHURCH COT DER DER DIVE ED EM EX GAT GI GO HAND HIDE I I I I ILL IN LA LO MAN MAS MI MI MORE NAL NAV NOSE O O PEN RAL RI RIL RING RISH RY SCORE SOPH TA TAP TAR TER TER TINE TO TUR UN VEN WAY Y

Remaining Syllables:

Advice: think

= 1. HAIRY BEE [3-9]
= 2. BRITISH TERRITORY [3-9]
= 3. ITALIAN CHEESE [3-7]
= 4. FLEET OFFICER [3-7]
= 5. BRITISH STATESMAN [2-9]
= 6. ITEMIZED LIST [4-9]
= 7. APPORTIONS [3-9]
= 8. STEEP DIVE [2-8]
= 9. PAINT THINNER [3-10]
= 10. REPAIRMAN [3-8]
= 11. KING ARTHUR'S SWORD [4-9]
= 12. THICKENING AGENT [4-7]
= 13. CIRCUS HOST [3-10]
= 14. HIGHLIGHT [3-10]
= 15. WORK STATION [3-8]
= 16. PRIVATE RETREAT [3-8]
= 17. FIGHTING ___ [2-5]
= 18. SECOND-YEAR STUDENT [3-9]

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
