Have you played Gothic 3, Bigmamma? I heard GOG had some problems with it. It's one I would love to play again.

Hello Barb- No I have never played it, but recently finished (finally) Gothic 2,enjoyed it very much and the reviews of #3 are good-wonder what kind of problems? Don't know when I'll be ready to spend time in another huge-world RPG again.

I bought Gothic 3 from GOG this morning and I have been playing for a few hours already. It plays better than the CD I had!!! A black screen for a few minutes the first time you start the game but starts perfectly every time after that. In Cape Dunn now and enjoying it very much.

Thanks, Jacline, I think I'll try it. Have you started it yet, Bigmomma? I played it when it first came out. I love all the Gothic games. I think the first one is my favorite.

Hi Barb and Jacline- Glad to hear Gothic 3 is working! I havn't had any problems with GOG games. Right now I'm trying to get through Thief Gold, another old game from GOG.The extra level seems as big as a complete game, and I'm a slow player. Gothic 3 next!

Wow! I saw NWN for 4.99 with all the addons and couldn't resist. Been many years since I played it and it's like a new game almost. One of the advantages about a little memory loss is I can watch old movies that I've already seen and play old games that I've already played. (Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most)

I picked up the Gabriel Knight games plus the two Phantasmagorias. Oldies but goodies. The Spousal Unit and I used to play computer games together, especially the Zork-style Infocom games and Myst. Phantasmagoria was the last one we completed together before he moved on to other things.
I must have 30 games here that I've never played, some old and some new. I'm going to have to ban myself from playing BG2 again for another five years. But a little game of Gabriel Knight would be okay.

Will do.
I'm interested to hear that the GOG version of Gothic 3 plays better than the disk version. I had to give up a short way in because my computer of the day couldn't play it without serious lags. Maybe I could play it now. I do love the first two Gothics.

Playing Phantasmagoria 2 for the first time. Back in the day, it would have seemed pretty advanced - and risque.

Oh No! I Baaged again-only 2 more days left of this sale-almost all GOG games are half price. This time I got Beyond Good and Evil,Odd world Oddysee and A New Beginning. I now have 13 unplayed goodies on my shelf. How will I ever be able to play 'em all? Which one to play? Decisions Decisions.
