Here I am again. Playing Adam's Venture Episode 3: Revelations. Stumbled along quite smoothly till now. Just entered the chapter in Luc, France. The sound is a little "watery" but game playing okay. I have to put a crate on the lift, then climb up a series of ladders to get the crate to the top. I can't get past the first ladder! How do I get Adam to let go the flipping ladder to get to the next one please? He happily climbs the first, braces himself to let go but doesn't. I tried jump, control, left and right, forward and enter but none will make him let go. What am I missing please?

Hi Lozza, Take a look at THIS older thread and see if it helps. If not, let us know.

Thanks for the suggestions but none helped I tried them all except the change in resolutions which I am not sure how to do on my laptop. Anything else for the pot?

You will not believe how I managed to climb the ladders! I read your advise about keeping finger on up arrow longer. Well I did just that and up the first I went. It took me two minutes of holding, the next seven! The third four minutes! As you may remember you have to back down the last ladder twice! Obviously took a lot of time and finger changing, but got the crate to the roof, which is thankfully a checkpoint. Now on the third windmill. Adam has to run,and jump over the gap between houses to the last windmill. As he leaves the roof he seems to land on the other rooftop, but when the scene changes he is hanging from which I assume is some kind of guttering. I have tried to jump up onto the roof but once again he just bobs up and down. Tried the same tack with the constant space bar pressing but after a while he just falls off. Any idea please?

Believe it or not I got him to jump and land on the roof by using the crouch button! He crouch/ran to the edge of the roof jumped and landed in the crouch position on the greenery around the roof edge. I used the up arrow to move him further onto the roof and then let off the crouch. now I am stuck at the last ladder. I have to say since I arrived in Luz the performance of the game has been rotten. The sound is all jittery and when they speak it is as if they are under water. the movements are staggered and slow. Anyhoo, This ladder does not respond to the usual keep finger on arrow button and eventually he will jump up. With this one he climbs up the ladder using the left arrow he stops before the top by using the up arrow He hefts himself up put his hand in the air and jumps back to bottom of the ladder. I think have finally run out of ideas. Using jump he jumps onto the opposite roof, right arrow he jumps off, left arrow he stays where he is on the ladder, bottom arrow he jumps off. The last windmill is the next checkpoint, so I will have to start at the crouch jump bit when, if I go back into this game.Sigh.

My son added a registry cleaner on to my computer and after that the game no longer alowed me to crouch and jump, now I am stuck on the roof! No matter what I do he just jumps and hangs! I tried the first game (the lost garden), and that is worse! The walkthrough says to go to a stand with barrels at the left I cannot find them and the movement of the characters is erraatic to say the least! Emailed the seller and they say that if the game downloads it is not faulty, and to consult the maker. I tried that, but every time I click on support a foreign error sign comes up. I have never been so frustrated with a computer game than these three! I haven't even opened the second game. Any ideas how I can get these games to work? My graphics card is up to date, and my computer is only one year old.

Well hello. Here I am back again. Glitches helped no end with my problem, but unfortunately I am afraid although I have advanced to near the end, I have found a new infuriating problem. I am at the last maze and I cannot get out onto the bridge. I follow the walkthrough to the letter but he gets stuck or he says he can do better than this. I have tried all the permeations I can see but to no avail. The suggestion in the WT makes sense and I can see how it should work but it doesn't. He gets trapped between two gates. Please help if you can.

I have tried using your instructions turning right immediately from the lit square that lights and opens the bridge on the right but it ends up too high on the maze. (top right), so dropped down to bottom left from lit square but when I go right for the second time I get trapped before I can go up or right though I can see how it could work. The gates come up on all sides and I have to try again. I have tried to work out my own directions but even though they make sense at the time I always get trapped. Any ideas please.
--------- Right! I guess it helps if you read the instructions correctly! (hangs head in shame), But I have finished the game now so all okay.
