Quote:
A man shows up on your doorstep asking you to track down the woman he loves. It would be just another "missing persons" case, except the only thing you have to go on is a crystal slipper... and the man is a prince from a mysterious, faraway land. Can you find the woman who captured his heart but then vanished? Or will this fantastical land push your detective skills to the limit? And do you really get to ride a unicorn? Find out in Detective Quest: The Crystal Slipper!

Thanks Ana. This a buy for me. I especially like the HO's. It's not finding them it's placing them.
A fairy tale-like game. I also like Elephant Games Marian. smile12

This is a beautiful game, and lots of fun to play so far! I'm with Gail on the HO's and it's just challenging enough to make for a great holiday choice!

I really appreciate the charm and beauty of this one. I'm SOOO tired of nothing but "ugly gruesome" games as a steady diet. laugh

Hi, Marian!

I originally took a pass on this game because the initial reviews on BFG were horrendous. I then read what the Boomers here had to say and most enjoyed it, so I downloaded the demo and am glad I did because I bought it. Maybe the first few people to review it on BFG were just in a bad mood because the subsequent reviews have been, for the most part, positive.

This is one occasion when a one-hour free demo certainly paid off because it left me with a cliffhanger laugh !

Hi Susan,

I saw those unflattering comments of the game on Big Fish as well; I'm glad you gave it a try, because the part that I played I thought was excellent. Have fun! happydance12

This is another great game. I've been playing for a good long time and still lots of things to accomplish. Game is non-linear and therefore quite complex. I'm grateful that the Hint function can be used to let you know where to go next. The interactive map is also quite helpful. Probably would be less challenging if I could devote more time in one sitting. Hard to remember everything when one has other things to do. crazy laugh

I played ,finished, and liked this game very much. I have to say, I didn't think that it was that easy though. I think I referred to the SG of this game more than any other game I have played.

I'm very glad to know what you thought of the game, thracia; it's really nice to have the built-in strategy guide with the CEs! yes wave12
