Tap on the Shoulder

A story from the pages of the Manchester Evening News:

Last Wednesday a passenger in a taxi heading for Salford station leaned over to ask the driver a question and gently tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb and stopped just inches from a large plate window.

For a few moments everything was silent in the cab. Then, the shaking driver said "Are you OK? I'm so sorry, but you scared the daylights out of me."

The badly shaken passenger apologized to the driver and said, "I didn't realize that a mere tap on the shoulder would startle someone so badly."

The driver replied, "No, no, I'm the one who is sorry, it's entirely my fault. Today is my very first day driving a cab. I've been driving a hearse for 25 years."

I've seen God, and his name is iPad. Let us pray
yes, I do use my Hairbrush as a Microphone and Dance around in my Underwear. Thank you very much.

If the driver were sleepy, he isn't anymore.

Good one Barry.

Bahhaaaa! I know I've told this one before but it brings back memories of MY true story similar to this one.

Got up way early driving 60 miles through a very straight, empty, desert road with hubby. At dark thirty, just as the sun was rising, all was so quiet in the car, just the hum of the engine and so peaceful UNTIL...a VOICE from the BACK SEAT said in a booming voice, "Good Morning!". We both jumped, I slammed on the brakes, we both looked at the back seat only to discover NO one there. After a few moments, we discovered the startling reason why the disembodied voice was coming from our back seat. I had left the radio ON, but the station didn't come on air until sunrise, and I had tuned all the speakers to only be in the rear of the car (like to listen from behind my head so I can hear passengers talking) and this was the Radio Host saying his opening good morning greeting! Next time, gonna wear adult diapers. rotfl12

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
