You also have the option of loading up your previous saved game to where you are now and replaying it to see if you have missed something - rediscovering something "new" will then give you something to talk to Jamila about and send her on her way. I find this works for me most of the time. Good luck

Did Dylan tell you a secret about Jamila's bag?
You will get other chances to search it but it may not be the right time.

I will have to reread some of the w/t to be sure if I had that conversation already with Dylan or not - I think I did and don't remember her giving me anything. Will get back to you later. I am on page 23 of Mag's w/t and have searched thru her purse need maybe to talk to her again. Thanks for your help be back later gotta walk my dog now

No, I only have the numbers bottom sheet, not the colour sheet. Dylan did tell me that Jamilia has lots of things in her bag and she kept putting things in or out of it - something like that. I'm nearing the end of the game and I think have solved almost all puzzles though still have to open the golden mummy found in the tomb just past the Destiny pathway.
Not sure how or when I'll get other chances to send Jamila away so I can search her bag again and don't know where the heck Lily or Abdullah are hiding.

This is what it says at UHS Hints about getting into Jamilla's bag for the second time:

When you talk to Dylan after you rescue him from the crash he says something about seeing Jamila pull things out of her seemingly empty bag. Sounds like a false bottom or a secret compartment to me. We need to get into that bag again.

That shouldn't be too hard; all we have to do is repeat the trick of telling her about something interesting elsewhere, and she'll run off to go look at it. Right?

Well, yes. But unfortunately, it's going to take a very long time for that conversation option to come up again. Frustrating!

In fact, you won't get the option to distract her again until after you've talked to her about everything you found when you finally got to search through Abdullah's trunk.

ok, but I already searched his trunk and saw his items but it hasn't triggered my being able to get her to go look at somethng elsewhere. I was able to confront her about what the letter said about her career etc. But now it simply doesn't show up in the dialogue box as an option anymore. I'm afraid only a saved game can save me now. Pardon the pun.

My saved games are not here with me. I looked and can't find any mailed saved games either.

The advise given are all good - you need to talk and keep on talking to everyone including calling Jon and Hotchkiss - both of them can trigger things also.

I am at the end "race game" now, it turns out I had not talked to Jamila again and gotten the other half of the number paper from her - there are no colors on it but the colors are not needed as putting the two papers together at the trunk (just having them both in inventory is all I needed) and the colors and numbers worked together. I opened the trunk OK no problem and am "on my way"
