Put one word inside another to create a new word. Look out for words like in, within, about and around in the clues to let you know which word is on the inside. Example in first clue.
Ex:Consumed around a period in time (hint - 6 letters, ventilate). aerate (ate around era)

-1.A heavenly body in wet dirt. 7 letters,condiment

-2.A bee's method of attack about precipitation. 9 striving

-3.Snake-like sea creature in a European country. 9 letters, worker with no long-term commitment

-4.Respiratory organ about a drink flavoured with juniper berries. 7 lurching

-5.Chronological duration is in the middle. 10 unit of length

-6.Grass-like water plant about chief in size or importance. 8 stayed

-7.Competition of speed within an item of furniture. 9 trackable

8.Prophet surrounding a curved structure. 8 seeker

-9.Wicked found in a primary colour. 7 hated

-10.Decomposes about the lair of a wild animal. 7 rats or mice for example
