"Sometimes, big trees grow out of acorns. I think I heard that from a squirrel."
Jerry Coleman
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
The teacher of the school geography class was lecturing on map reading.
After explaining about latitude, longitude, degrees and minutes the teacher asked:
"Suppose I asked you to meet me for lunch at 23 degrees, 4 minutes north latitude and 45 degrees, 15 minutes east longitude...?"
After a confused silence, little Johnny volunteered - "I guess you'd be eating alone!"
A mother and her young son returned from the grocery store and began putting away the groceries.
The boy opened a box of animal crackers and spread them all over the table.
"What are you doing?" his mother asked.
"The box says you can't eat them if the seal is broken," the boy explained, "so I'm looking for the seal!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd (alternating between bride's side and groom's side). While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar loudly.

So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR all the way down the aisle.

As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the front. The little boy, however, was getting more and more distressed from all the laughing, and was near tears by the time he reached the pulpit. When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was just being the Ring Bear!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The teacher asked little Johnny if he knows his numbers.
"Yes," he said. "I do. My father taught me." "Good. What comes after three." "Four," answers the boy.
"What comes after six?" "Seven."
"Very good," says the teacher. "Your dad did a good job. What comes after ten?"
"A Jack."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This one little boy in about 4th or 5th grade was trying out for a school play. He earned a part and went home to tell his father.

His father was really proud of him. So his father asks what part did you get?

He replies I got the part of a man who has been married for 25 years.

His father congratulated him. And then he said "That's good son, maybe next time you'll get a talking role!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Little Johnny was in the garden filling in a hole when his neighbor peered over the fence.
Interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was doing, he politely asked, "What are you up to there, Johhny?"
"Well, my goldfish died," replied Johnny tearfully, without looking up,"and I've just buried him."
The neighbour was concerned, "That's an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isn't it?"
Johnny patted down the last heap of earth then replied... "That's because he's inside your cat!"
Take him to the pet cemetary. puppy
Super Saturday ya'll
We have a hallway full of wood so hubby and I will be out looking for stain for it. Hopefully, we can start staining today.
We also need to dig out our wood splitter and remind ourselves how to use it so it's easier to have fires while it is cold.
Son has decided the den is too cluttered and is cleaning happydance
Back later wave
Hi Boomers! Haven't been here much as life dictates differently right now. MIL is coming along but has so very far to go. My own Mum also takes up a lot of my time. Been wicked cold here on this usually temperate coast for over two weeks getting down to 27* several times in the early AM's. Southern Cali is sounding really nice to me. Off I go. Happy Gaming everyone!! wave
Morning; just been busy, busy. Still have an arctic front hovering over with temps in the teens and low, low 20's.
Found a friend that I haven't "talked" to in over 40 years; it was such a surprise.
Have things to do before a pool tourney this eve so wish all a great day.
Ana, so glad you are mobile again. happydance
We are back from errands. Now time to start the bed projects. Son has left for a little bit to take the kids to the park. It is a gorgeous day...blue skies, bright sun, temps in the 50's with no wind. It could be like this every day and I would love it!
I am enjoying a late cup of coffee while hubby reacquaints himself with the log splitter.
Night, Haroula, sleep well sleep
Nan, we decided to just go with a sealer to let the color of the bed shine through. It's spruce so it's very light. I am a big fan of natural wood....not so much a fan of plastic or metallic. To each their own.
We also got some chalkboard paint to use on the cubby area underneath each loft.
We just finished moving the "beds" from the front hall to the the dining room...750 lbs....and then unpacking one loft to be sure of what we had. Then, cos our backs and feet weren't hurting enough, we decided to split some firewood. So we hauled and split a bit of that, and then I cried "Uncle!" The ole bod will only do so much in one day.
Skywalker is in doggie heaven. He thinks all the firewood is his to chew on, and is absolutely fixated on hubby's work gloves. I can see much time will be spent in his "collar of shame."
We have a date with son to watch "The Two Towers" beside a nice big fire tonight. He said his "friend" may come over with her 2 tonight but that she is not staying for the movie.
Time to sit and sip and let my back unkink. puppy
Hello everybody. wave
Everything went very smooth with the move, thanks to all your warm fuzzy vibes. thumbsup
I got up at 6:30 and ate breakfast, and then sat down with my coffee and tried to get on line, but they had already set up the transfer with my internet and I could not get on line, so I got up and loaded up my truck with my receivers, TV, computer, router, & modem and headed over here.
The DISH tech arrived at about 8:15. shocked
I was shocked to say the least. wink
I went and got my helper, and a truck, and we moved everything in two trips. We had it all moved by 2:00, returned the truck, got a cheeseburger for lunch, and then I took my helper home, and I spent the rest of the day unpacking, and went back over to the old place and started cleaning it. I'll go back and finish it tomorrow. yes
I had Baby with me for the whole thing. She was so excited. puppy
I hope everyone had a great day.
Ana congrats on getting your ride back. bravo
L4L if you wanted more to do you could have come over. wink
joe
