"A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes." Hugh Downs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A woman pregnant with her first child paid a visit to her obstetrician's office. After the exam, she shyly said, "My husband wants me to ask you...," to which the doctor replies, "I know, I know," placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I get asked that all the time. Sex is fine until late in the pregnancy." "No, that's not it," the woman confessed. "He wants to know if I can still mow the lawn." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she stayed by his bedside every single day. When he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer. As she sat by him, he said, "You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you gave me support. When my health started failing, you were still by my side... You know what?" "What dear?" She asked gently. "I think you bring me bad luck." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Standing at the edge of the lake, a man saw a woman flailing about in the deep water. Unable to swim, the man screamed for help. A trout fisherman ran up. The man said, "My wife is drowning and I can't swim. Please save her. I'll give you a hundred dollars." The fisherman dove into the water. In ten powerful strokes, he reached the woman, put his arm around her, and swam back to shore. Depositing her at the feet of the man, the fisherman said, "Okay, where's my hundred dollars?" The man said, "Look, when I saw her going down for the third time, I thought it was my wife. But this is my mother-in-law." The fisherman reached into his pocket and said, "Just my luck. How much do I owe you?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~ A female officer arrests a drunk. She warns him, "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you." The drunk replies, "Boobs." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good morning everyboomie. How in the world are you all doing? I couldn't be much happier. I'm back on the old homestead. I'm back with my puppy. Back in the same house as my sister. AND....the cows are coming back today. I think I may want to take back that last "woot." Have a happy day everyone. joe

Aaah , Joe , my sister is my only downside to moving , too. but i don't mind cows. actually , i haven't seen a cow since i've been here - i kinda miss them.... our weather here was actually quite lovely for a change , i kept the door open for 2 or 3 hours. thinking that won't last ,though anyway ,hope you all have a terrific morning , see you then !

Good morning my friends! Thank you all so much and from all my heart for your kind words. Your prayers and good vibes brought me over a few dark hours. Situation with my Dad still the same. Now Mum has a flu with high fever and sis and I have to run from one to the other... We have snow here in Switzerland and last night it was raining a bit and so this morning the sidewalk was a sheet of ice Joe: just read you moved back home. I'am so happy for you!! home! Baby will do summersaults I guess. What's the problem with your sis ? Ana: glad you got your car back. Wow 900 bucks is a lot of money. If you put a piggy-bank on one of the corner tables we can provide a donation Nan: I wish all of my GB friends a wonderful Sunday. Love, Evelyne

Good morning Boomies. It is a grand beautiful day here. I am fixing to go back over to the old place and finish cleaning up. I'll have to run into town and get a few things first, but with the way my feet hurt me I think I'll drive instead. I hope your day is a super one whatever you are doing. Evie it's nice to see your post. I hope your Mom and Dad recover soon. joe

Super Sunday ya'll It's a beautiful day here...blue skies, bright sun, in the 50's so hubby and I will be heading out to the back to stain the beds. I'm hoping it won't take too long as the Falcon's game will be coming on in a bit. My body is achy from yesterday, but tis fine...It will unkink when all the staining and assembling is done. The assembling won't be until tomorrow at the earliest as the stain has to dry for 24 hours before we handle the wood. Evelyne, so sorry you are in this high pressure situation. I hope your folks are better soonest. Joe, I'm so glad you are back home with Baby. I know she missed you. How does Pepper take all the changes? The Per has a slightly congested nose and is playing it for all he is worth. Dad is catering to him like crazy. When asked to do anything, he is too sick, but otherwise seems fit as a fiddle. Oh well, it's easier to see when it's not your child.

Hello Boomies. I think we're going into the deep freeze by game time. GO PATS! Championship game at 6:30 tonight. I'll be back at work but I'm sure The Blisses will be watching. My PT will be at Gillette Stadium as he has season tickets. I hope he's dressed really warm. Joe I'm so happy for you. I bet Baby is beside herself, she's probably wagging her whole body. Evelyne I'm sending prayers to you and your Mum and Dad. And big hugs for you. Midgie
Just do it.

L4L, Texas beat ya' -it's 70 here and on the shady back porch too. Lovely. By Thursday it's supposed to be 74 -can't wait. All you north g'boomers, I hope it gets warmer for you soon.
I'm really happy with my new cmptr, no more crash dumps and sticky and stuck cursers, oh joy. Been playing Zuma and pinball thrilride and soon over the hedge and lesser browsing and that's good.
However there are 2 miniscule scratches on the front of it -now how did that happen? I even cover it when not in use. Maybe those cats.
Remember that thin mother dog -well I went over Friday and the pups (5) are 6 weeks old and fat and in the wiggle stage and adorable. And the mother -Lola- looks much better and is so friendly. She is pit bull and the father is black lab. I offered to get her spayed, owner didn't seem to take offense. It would be better. If I weren't so old I'd take a sister and brother -let's hope they get good homes.
Oh yes, I bought a new razer death adder mouse for the cmptr.
Happy Sunday all

Good afternoon boomies! It is a crazy day here. Daughter called late last night to ask if I would take my two grandpuppies for a sleepover today. Needless to say, my house is full of crazy dogs. I managed to vacuum and make a big pot of Navy Bean soup so far but that is it. It seems like my plans for the day are changing direction. Joe, how is your day going? Niteowl, I hope you can get all your ducks in a row quickly so you can get moved. Maybe Joe has some boxes for you. SpaceQ, what's on the agenda today? Haroula, send some of your weather here! Enjoy your walk. Sue, stay warm! We lost a lot of branches in the wind overnight. Venus, hope your workday goes great! Gerry, I had a wonderful walk with the dogs yesterday and I am about to take all 4 out the dog preserve because they are making me crazy. I can't take my granpuppies to the woods because I can't chance them running away after a deer or coyote. How is your day going? Evelyne, good to see you my friend. Be careful you don't run yourself down between mum and dad. Prayers and positive thoughts for all of you. Connie, I hope you can get your new grill. Enjoy! Nan, I am still out of the corner, but almost wishing I was back in it. So much to do and so little time to do it. I'm running ragged. Stay warm! L4L, sorry you are hurting today but it's good to keep moving. I hope you get done today. Shadow knocked me flat yesterday and I landed on my hip. It's a bit tender today. Midgie, I hope work goes well for you. How's the ankle? Yankee, I am so glad you are loving your new computer! I am even more happy to hear the puppies and dogs next door are doing well.

Afternoon; home a little after 10 last nite, had trouble getting to sleep so ended up sleeping in a bit. Did place 3rd in the pool tourney and we won $15 each, however my partner is one of the best players in town and he has a pool table in his basement.
Off to think of nothing to do so wish all a great Sunday.

Congrats Trippy! I hope you fun doing it! I took the 4 dogs to the river and I blame Joe for my distraction of hunting for heads and not watching the dogs and Murphy fell through the ice. He had icicles hanging all over. It was 15 degrees out. All I've done is cook a bunch of things for the week, laundry and clean today. Not fun....

Ana, glad Murphey is okay; did you find any arrowheads? Have any been found in that area before? Off to actually do some housework.

Hi Ana. Home from work and just relaxing for a while. My ankle is just the same, thanks for asking. I have another appointment at The Boston Pain Clinic on Tuesday but I'm not confident that anything will happen. We'll see. Midgie

It's 12 degrees here Joe. Got a few degrees you can send Nan and I? Trippy, yes, the riverbank at the off leash preserve here is on an old indian chief camp. I haven't been there since October so I thought I'd look again. I should have been watching the dogs. It was 15 degrees out and windy, hubby was not pleased I chose today to look so after Murphy fell in we finished our hike and came home. Midgie, they offered no help last time? Natasha, I am sorry I missed you there! I am happy the sun is out and you can start to dry out.
