I have an American friend who dearly loves doing jigsaw puzzles. I would like to gift today's Daily Deal to her, but I cant see how to do this so I am thinking this is not possible?

I'm thinking also that this isn't possible. You can gift game credits to her or you could give her one of your punchcard coupon codes to use and then she would be able to get the game, but of course she would not be getting the game at the Daily Deal price.

I hit the "gift this game" option on the daily deal and looked at the sample gift card that goes with it and it is indeed just a code that can be used with any game and states that you "recommend" the game you selected. In that case, I am certain it costs you the price of one code and not a discount.
