thinkDoes anyone have a saved game after the part where Fay exchanges the video tapes in the scene at the time capsule with Devlin standing with the laser equipment-about half way into the game.
I am stuck there because inventory won't come up when I right click-it just flickers a little and I can't get the tape
up to now the inventory has been working fine.

I can't find my saved games.Sorry.

Is the power plant video at right end of the table?
Just wondered if you are working on the correct video tape.
Maybe go back to an old saved game replay from there, that might loosen the problem.

Thanks for your response, MaG-
I did try replaying from the last save but,no dice.Yes the power plant video is at right end of table.(up until this scene, everything I need is in the inventory. Then when the scene changes to the one with the table, no inventory.)

Hope someone can help us with a saved game. Although I wonder if having a cutscene after this action is affecting the gameplay.
Maybe play with video options???

Hello again MaG-
I have a a request in with Daedalic (sp?)for a saved game. At least they have responded by asking for more info. Hopefully they will send one! I will sing their praises if I get this game working again.

Here's where they are kept for Win7 -- see if there is a similar hiding spot for your XP:

C:\Users\<my username>\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment\A New Beginning\Savegames.

I'm glad that Daedalic and GOG replied to you. thumbsup If you found your saves somewhere very different, let us know, just in case another gamer has a similar problem in the future. thanks

waveHere is exactly where they are in WINXP:

C:\Documents and Settings\name of computer\Local Settings\Application Data\Daedalic Entertainment\A New Beginning\Savegames

I was very pleased that Daedalic and GOG were so helpful-will definitely continue to buy their games smile
And of course, to Gameboomers: urock
