Hi Chuck,

It sounds as if you've missed examining an important evidence. This can be a problem area for some gamers depending on how their screen resolution is set, which stops them from being able to click on both blood splashes near the body:

Click on blood on the wall beside the body.
Click on blood above the head of Annie.

Double check that first. smile

If you can click on both blood marks, go back over the walkthrough and re-examine everything again just to be sure. Check all notes are placed on the deduction board. See what you're missing there and work from that. Keep us posted.

luck

Yes, make sure that you have selected the correct two papers from your documents to use as proof:

Plants and Spices
and
Animals

They both have elaborate lettering. Then the alphabet will appear at the bottom of your game screen.

If you've selected an incorrect document, there is a tiny, tiny "x" at the top of that tab that you can click on to cancel and select a different one.

Hi Chuck,

Here's a detailed explanation posted by MaG on an older thread:

There is an outside number in the square that is the same as the one on top.
That is the sum you are hitting for.
You have to enclose a set of numbers that will add to that.
Remember that you can also use the right number of a double digit as the end sum -
For example: you need to look for a set of numbers that will add up to 8.
You can look for a 4 and 4, or 3 + 3 + 2, or it can be 15 + 13.

After you have those set of numbers are enclosed in the square click the button at bottom right to enter that.
If correct, the enclosed numbers will disappear.

An alternative solution is to just click randomly around the box edges. It may take a little longer, but the end result will be the same.

luck

Earlier in the game, when you looked close at the map (to do the line puzzles), you have the picture of the victims at bottom right and placed them on the map where they were killed.

Now you do the same for the latest victim - Martha's picture.
So look close at map and place it at George Yard building in the map.

Hi Chuck,

It should be on the map that's pinned to the wall -- on the wall directly opposite from where you first enter the sitting-room.
