Seem to recall doing a couple of these way back in the mists of time (when the Needler was a mod, and that's going back some...) Some elementary exercising of the little grey cells is called for – who created the following detectives? -1. Kelsey Millhone -2. Inspector Linley -3. Miss Marple -4. Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby -5. Nancy Drew -6. John Rebus -7. Nick and Nora Charles -8. Hieronymous 'Harry' Bosch -9. Kurt Wallander -10. Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro Any personal recommendations for other good detective writers gratefully received...

Excellent answers! Gerry - I've just started reading the Wallander books after seeing it on the BBC. They had two versions running more or less at the same time - the original Swedish one, and a UK one starring Kenneth Branagh. To be honest, I preferred the original, even if it meant reading subtitles... Joan - didn't even realise Carolyn Keene didn't exist until I made this quiz up. Looked on Wiki and saw: "The character first appeared in 1930; the books have been ghostwritten by a number of authors and are published under the collective pseudonym Carolyn Keene " You live and learn...
