I have dug up the St. George thing and have the stone hand with cross. But I can't use the glasses to get into thing with the chains around the door. What else should I do?

One old post states:

You need to be in position before the glasses can be used.
Go to the hole you came out from when you first arrived here and then turn back to the grave. Then see if you can use the glasses.

See if that helps.

That is a very tricky spot and you have to be positioned just right. The old post MaG quoted is the way to do it. It's also roughly about half way up the screen.

So I turn around to face the grave I came out of use the glasses there? I seem to remember facing the entrance with the St. George hanging on my left

Not quite, as Mag said, you do this...
