Warmer today thank goodness. Took the morning walk yesterday and had to wear a sweatshirt and a sweatshirt hoodie all zipped up. Wind was awful. But I'm still wearing sandals.

Did a 'head' count at the seal pool cam today and think I spotted at least 11 baby seals with their moms. That's a huge jump from last week when there were only 2. Getting very fun out there with babies all over and the tourists trying to get pictures. Yesterday, the Ranger and at least 2 Police (now stationed 24/7 there since the big harassment incident) were on the beach itself making sure no one got too close to the new moms which were right where the observers are supposed to stand. They move the camera to scan the beach for activity of the seals and any fun incidents with onlookers. Camera was a donation from a private party. Nice.

Off for my walk. Gotta see the sidewalk progress. They have signs up now of No Parking for the next 2 weeks and lots of road closed signs stacked up. Only thing left to do now on the 2 streets (one near and one up the street about 4 streets) is to remove the asphalt road and redo it. Then everything is done, no more cars parking all over my area and the dust will be gone. I'm so tired of yukky dust all over my house, car, inside, outside. You get the picture.

Glad you are enjoying MY seals. They are ugly things (not as cute as sea lions) but it's awesome to see the moms and babies and I'm especially enjoying the tourists. They seem to think the seals are tame and go right up to them. Hence the Ranger and now the Police protection for humans and seals alike. Funny thing is, I've lived here for over 50 years and never gone to see the seals. Geez! I must go on a road trip. Never knew they were this exciting.

Sorta, I love YOUR seal cam and I don't think they are ugly at all. I used to love to see the seals in Santa Cruz when I lived in Cali. They are such gregarious and seemingly social creatures.

Ok Ok, I now have to admit that seals are cute. Just now there were 3 moms with 3 babies at the surf line and the moms were teaching the babies to swim. Totally cute!
