I want you guys to know how much I appreciate your help when I have questions.
I was curious as to what a MotherBoard manual might look like as I never have perused one before but the Dxdiag for that computer didn't list it. In fact neither does it show on this computer. All mine computers (5) are Dell's. Do they not like to show theirs?
Thank you for showing me how to get into the Bios. Now that I tried it I remember doing that on a computer years ago but had forgotten.
I think I understand this and that I should be ok but please let me know for sure. Here is what it says in the Bios.
Under the "Primary Video"
(2 boxes labeled) "Auto" & "Onboard/Card" (this one is highlighted)
Under the above it gives the definition (I guess)...
"Auto" = Use the add in Video Controller
"Onboard/Card"= Use the Intergrated Video Controller unless a Graphics Card is installed. A PCI Express Graphics (PEG) Card will override and disable the Integrated Video Controller.
The Factory default setting is = "Auto"
Even though the
"Onboard/Card" was Highlighted I still entered in and reselected and saved it. Does this look like I should be all set with just installing the card and it will disable the onboard graphics so there is no conflicts. Also should I remove the existing NVidia Drivers using the Add/Remove in MyComputer before installing the new NVidia card? Then installing the Drivers that came with the card after?
