Avast, Avira, AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials are the free ones that, I should think, most people use. I wouldn't wait for the two months either on Webroot if it's as bad as you are making out. What's the point of using it if its no good (even if youve paid for it)

Not sure if this is the right forum, but.. I now have Webroot (I know) and have approx. 2 months left. Am using the free Super Antispyware version which I like. Would appreciate any suggestions on the best (and not very expensive) spyware to switch to.

Thanks for any help.

I've been using ( Malwarebytes Anti-Malware ) and I really like it and it's free.

I'll see if I can combine it with the other thread.

Don't know why my post wasn't erased - didn't realize it was the same topic twice. And - what spelling mistake? I'm usually an excellent speller. BTW: "its" should be "it's" for it is.

Don't worry about it Laurette. I misspelled words to. Everybody does.

What did I spell wrong? Maybe I'm going blind or something, but don't see it. I am very particular about my ability to spell well.

The title of the thread. smile

If you're still looking for anti-spyware, the one you've already got, SuperAntispyware, is excellent. I have the free version too. Upgrading to the paid might be a good idea. Otherwise, Malwarebytes, as mentioned above too, is another good one. I have the paid version of that on my own PC.

For anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials is free and excellent.

Thanks, Rushes. Also, it is a typo, not a misspelling.

P.S. I thought people who participated in this forum were supposed to be nice, not make rude remarks.

Laurette,

I think that the post was meant as a kidding one - note the smiley next to it.

I also took it as a bit of teasing! wink Of course, I never notice that I've made a typo until after I've hit submit.
