Skiing Exercises
The ski season is finally here. This list of exercises will help you get ready...

- Visit your local butcher and pay $30 to sit in the walk-in freezer for half an hour. Afterwards, burn two $50 dollar bills to warm up.

- Soak your gloves and store them in the freezer after every use.

- Fasten a small, wide rubber band around the top half of your head before you go to bed each night.

- If you wear glasses, begin wearing them with glue smeared on the lenses.

- Throw away a hundred dollar bill - RIGHT NOW!

- Find the nearest ice rink and walk across the ice 20 times in your ski boots carrying two pairs of skis, accessory bag and poles. Pretend you are looking for your car. Sporadically
drop things.

- Place a small but angular pebble in your shoes, line them with crushed ice, and then tighten a C-clamp around your toes.

- Buy a new pair of gloves and IMMEDIATELY THROW ONE AWAY!

- Secure one of your ankles to a bedpost and ask a friend to run into you at high speed.

- Go to McDonald's and insist on paying $8.50 for a hamburger. Be sure you are in the longest line.

- Clip a lift ticket to the zipper of your jacket, get on a motorcycle and ride fast enough to make the ticket lacerate your face.

- Drive slowly for five hours - anywhere - as long as it's in a snowstorm and you're following an 18-wheeler.

- Fill a blender with ice, hit the pulse button and let the spray blast your face. Leave the ice on your face until it melts. Let it drip onto your clothes.

- Slam your thumb in a car door and don't bother to go see a doctor.

* Repeat all of the above every Saturday and Sunday until you're ready for the real thing!

Good morning. Thanks Joe for your openers. Ana and all who are in the middle of all that bad weather, please be safe. We're gonna get your weather on Wednesday but I don't think it'll be in the form of snow. Wednesday they're predicting a mix. I was supposed to go see my Mom on Wednesday but it looks like I'll have to wait until a week from tomorrow. I'll be picking up my Auntie so she can see both her sisters. Unfortunately Wednesdays are my only day off.

Have a great day everyone. Please don't forget to exercise. smile dance

Street/sidewalk construction across the way seems to be all but done. Still needs some 'touch up' stuff but the road is open and cars are parked all over the place. Hope it's finally over. Can't stand much more dust and dirt blowing into my yard and house. It's all over the place.

Neighbor, who just adopted his son's two 10 month old cats is in for an earful next time I see him. His cats are adorable, 'tuxedo' cats with longish fur and huge feather duster tails. They have already made it across his yard to my front door. Not happy about that as I'm desperately trying to not have any more cats to take care of, but then, cats wander. I'm just hoping they can adapt from being raised indoors all their short lives to bein tossed out into the wild. I'll have a chat with the neighbor about rain and securing his yard against wandering dogs etc. Dunno if that will go over well. I'm still hoping he finds then another home with someone who won't just toss them in the yard. So not nice, but I guess I will have to be the 'alternate mom' once again and make sure they find the constant fresh water dishes and the dry food feeder that all the critters around here share. I'm still working on offering him a litter box and tips on indoor cats. Heck, they sleep most of the day and night. How hard can that be? They won't suffer if I can help it. Darn that neighbor!!!!

Hi everyone. Awww, Sorta, I know how you feel, it isn't fair to those of us who love cats. Been trying to get in the mood to tell my latest tale. Hubby has been pushing himself way too hard. Wife, that I am, try to talk him into better eating habits, drinking water instead of diet soda but no! So, he has lost weight and just keeps on going until the other day. He had been at his mums all day working on the wheelchair ramp, no breakfast, no lunch. He had made it back to town, and thank God he wasn't on the highway doing 60 or something, when he began to feel weird, passed out and wrecked the pickup. He was taken to the ER as he had low BP. He did stabilize after two bags of IV liquid whatever. They did tests to rule out heart etc. and seem to think it was because he doesn't drink enough water and should be eating regularly. His body had no reserves to go back on. He later told me he still thinks like a twenty year old but has to come to grips that he will be 60 next month. Scared a few years out of me I am sure!! Still waiting on insurance decision on truck and hospital costs, ouch!! Anyway, I am hoping he has learned an important lesson. He is definitely eating better and I haven't seen hardly any diet Pepsi..... Raining and raining here so off to do some bills and maybe back to the great book on my tablet. Happy Gaming everyone!!! wave

I walked the dogs early so they are happy and content now. They said they were closing the preserves so I didn't want to chance a double ticket for dogs off a leash and being there after closing. eek

Oh Lotus! I am so glad he is okay and I do hope he really did learn. Big hugs to you, you must be at nerves end. hearts

Joe, hope work goes well and your feet cooperate!

Nan, I think we have about 4 inches so far. It's very pretty. Supposed to get 6 more but we'll see. I don't mind. Be careful when you go out!

Sorta, maybe you should just take in the little bundles of joy. grin I feel bad thinking they are on the street.

niteowl, I hope you feel better quickly. hearts

L4L, I feel your pain. I hope the books simmer down.

Darlene, have a great day!

Connie, I hope all is well by you.

Midgie, so sorry you can't see your mom this week. I'll try to blow it somewhere else.

Gail, I hope you are feeling good.

Venus, hope work goes well.

Gerry, is spring coming yet by you?

Sue, just give the pups a treat when they get home and they'll forget all about it. I bet they look cute now.

Haroula, birthday to your son! Is he two or three now? What a fun age!

Yep Ana, despite my promise not to take in any more kitties, I am watching them closely. My feral unneutered male has taken to 'protecting' them as his harem I guess. He is staying with them and they are wandering into my yard. I'm almost hoping that they make friends with some of my feral yard cats (esp the one that lost her long time friend). That would be nice so she would have a partner to sleep with again. But he's off to buy a potty box and litter and all that stuff, so maybe he will heed my words and make them more indoorsies. If they look lost or hungry or in danger, I will be right there to intervene. Maybe I could talk my tenant who lost his cat back a few months to 'adopt'. At least they would be inside. Dunno. It's a mess right now. Wish he hadn't bailed the kid out by taking the cats who would be better in a real caring home. Darn darn.
