Hi, everyone. smile

Since a lot of ne "big name" games coming out today are so bad and boring, I decided to give a new and improved SS2 a go again.

I started by installing these mods:

http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4447.0

The graphics are now updated, and 13 years worth of bugs and small tweaks have been made. The result is spectacular...I was only going to "try it" yesterday but ended up playing through the med-sector, sci-sector and crew quarters. The music, atmosphere and feel of the game is still great.

I highly recommend it, it's available at Gog if you want to try it!

Sounds great. I bought System Shock 2 when it was first released, and it's interesting to note that the developer of the game was Ken Levine, who is also the game designer of Bioshock Infinite. wave

Yup. smile The BioShock games never really grabbed me though, they just felt...I don't know, all polish and no substance. Might try BioShock Infinite, though.

I loved the Bioshock series Drizzt, I am sorry they didn't grab you. Infinite has great reviews!

I've seen great reviews of the game...but I'm concerned that the gameplay appears to be even more streamlined than Bioshock 1 compared to SS2. From trailers it looks the focus is mainly on combat. Might try it though.
