Hi. I'm getting close to the end of the game now, I think, but I have a really weird problem .... I've reached the part of having solved the puzzle in the lid of the revolver box in Harri's wardrobe at the summer house and am now back at the Manager's Residence in Dead City. However I can't find the roof of the building !! I enter the building and go to the left and up a flight of stairs and then up a second flight of stairs. But there's no doorway to the roof or any more stairs to climb after that And I know there IS a roof because I reached it on a previous visit Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. Cheers. Mad

Hi Mad, I just went back into my game to check. After you've climbed the second flight of stairs, directly in front of you then will be an open doorarch, blue sky beyond, which leads onto the roof. Move forward. Once out there, look to your left and there are the floor tiles.

Hi Rushes. Thanks for responding Yes, that's what I remember from my first visit to the building but this time there is no "forward" arrow once I've climbed the second flight of stairs. I was wondering if any of the game files had somehow become corrupted so earlier today I went back a few saves and played quite a chunk over again - but the result was the same. No access to the roof Do you maybe have a save anywhere near this part that you could send me, please ?? Otherwise I think my only other option would be to re-play the whole game. EDIT : In case you can send me a save, do you know where they live ?? I can't find them so far Cheers. Mad

I'll send you a save at that location. Hopefully it'll be around the point in the game that you need, but if not, let me know and I'll send you one earlier/later. The saves (for Win 7) are at: C:\Users\[computer name]\Saved Games\Cold Case Summer

Mad, are you sure that you are in this screen? That's where the arrow is supposed to turn up.

Well, happy to say, I finally made it to the roof !! I decided to search every screen very slowly and in doing so discovered I had been constantly missing one of the "angled" arrows. Once I included that in the route, I got to the roof without any problems Anyway, thanks for the help. You have all been most kind And a special thanks to you, of course, Rushes, for sending me the saved game. [Even though I won't need to use it now.] Plus, there is more good news in that I have at last found the saved games !! After fruitlessly searching the whole of C Drive for them I eventually found them in D Drive. [Grrrrr. Windows 7 Frustrations !!!! ]

Mad, the saved games on your D drive has nothing to do with Windows 7. That's the way your wonderful son-in-law set up your snazzy new computer. You have a small super fast solid state drive (C drive) for your operating system. All your data (games etc.) is on the very large storage drive (D drive). Always look for your "stuff" on the D drive.

Hi Draclvr I am able to install all my games to D Drive (in Programme Files x86) Which I like. But even my wonderful Son in Law can't control where the save games end up !! Not being a techie person I've no idea who or what determines where they should go ?? Is it the developer, Win7 or some other agency altogether ?? Because plenty of my save games DO end up somewhere in the "Users" folder on C Drive [Which I don't like !!] Cheers. Mad

Ah, I see. I've never had any game saves get directed to my C drive after I've installed the game to my D drive. Interesting...
