I don't know whats going on but in the last two months two of my favorite restaurants have closed on me, without warning.

Mamasitas (1990-2013), I learned my favorite Mexican restaurant (a 10 minute drive from Lincoln, Nebraska to Bennet, NE) was closed from an article in the local paper. No explanation was given. Nothing posted on their Facebook page.

The Home Town Cafe (2013), only open for a couple of months, I tried to go there for Breakfast after working a short shift last Thursday but found a hand written "Closed" sign on the door. Its been dark and locked up ever since. Facebook page vanished. Was their a couple days ago, gone now.

We have had many fail here also Guybrush.

The economy just can't help us support all the businesses. I am sorry you lost some faves.

Same here. The restaurant business is hurting for customers. We used to have a nice family restaurant just down at the corner, a Wendy's across, and a great Mexican place across. 3 nice places all at one intersection. The Wendy's is now a yukky oriental food place, the Family restaurant is gone, closed, kaput, and the Mexican place changed owners, went to all 'healthy' cooking and has no resemblance to Mexican food at all. Ick.

Less people eating out. I feel bad for the businesses. AND I sure miss Wendy's frosties!

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Mamasitas owner used to come into the Office Depot I work at regularly, last time I talked with him he didn't say anything about closing, in fact he asked when I'd be in again.

I was just in the Home Town Cafe a couple weeks ago and they were in the process of updating their menu, no talk of closing.

I hope my second favorite Mexican place is okay.
