Hi robert,

Double check that your solution matches this:

No row, column or diagonal should have two symbols the same in it.

To open the sitting room safe you'll need the key from the laser locked safe in the workshop. So work on that one first. luck

Try the 2 keys (T-shaped or gold key) taken from that laser locked safe in the workshop. See which one works. luck

As I mentioned in my post above - it is the safe in the workshop. The other safe has a broken lock; the one you need is the other one in that room.

You mentioned a T-shaped key in your previous post - that T shaped key is supposed to be taken from that laser locked safe.

Yes, that sounds like the one, robert. It's the safe on the table to your left, directly after you enter the workshop.

The clue to opening the laser locked safe can be found on a paper hidden inside the dining room safe. Did you open the dining room safe yet?

The laser safe can still be opened by trial and error, though, as I recall, even if you don't have the clue paper.

The clue was: "Less 8 nm under the upper limit of the buttercup nm."

(Buttercup = Yellow.)

Then from MaG's walkthrough:

Adjusting the number to the known wave lengths of the visible portion of the spectrum on the panel displays the different colors: Violet (400-425), Indigo (426- 446), Blue (447-499), Green (500-569), Yellow (570-592), Orange (593-620) and Red.

Click to reveal..
The 3 digit number should be set to 584. The buttons to press to set are above and below the safe's display panel. You need to patient and wait for the number entries to register. Then the laser light beam will change colour.

That was the code to activate the keypad puzzle, getting all the numbers to add up to 15 -- which you've already solved. smile

I'm not sure of the order you've opened the safes in, robert. What do you have in your inventory? (Items disappear when you no longer need them.)

Just try exploring the house. Check any shut doors, see if they need a key or can be easily opened.

Check your game map -- that shows a basic diagram of the house and displays which safes still need to be cracked in the rooms that you've explored so far.
