kjos just wanted you to know that I didn't get the free game, I actually bought my game directly from Viva Media and am still having the issue with AVG. I just wanted you to know that because I saw your post where you said you might buy it. smile
I'm sure we will hear from them early next week and hopefully the game will run. I don't know why it won't open. I have never had a problem with AVG before. Makes me think that maybe I should look into another virus program. UGH!!!!

What's surprising me is that I've never had a problem with AVG before. Admittedly I usually use discs not downloads - but I've downloaded other stuff and it's not caused a problem.
I've also sent an email direct to Viva, so I'll wait and see what happens

AVG has deleted BigFish Games as well, it happens with a lot of the anti-virus at one time or another. Some components trigger a false positive. The importance is to notify the anti-virus companies after the specific component is identified so that add that to their accepted list. Otherwise people will continue to have the trouble.

It really does sound like a great game. I have had other Viva Media games that have run with no problems, so I am sure they will get this one working.

I don't have AVG, I have McAfee, and can't open the game either. I have tried redownloading and installing with it off and still no go. I did copy and paste the key in the first time, and so far that box has not come up again to type in the key. I did use CCleaner to make sure it was out and deleted Viva folder to get a clean reinstall.

Thanks Ana, I am sure it is some tweek in the programing somewhere. Looking forward to the game, I saw the screenshots. Looks good!

I redownloaded with my Kaspersky off and it still won't play. I don't think it's an antivirus issue. crazy

I am assuming it is down to Viva Media to do that, BrownEyedTigre ??

No, that was directed to members. I have seen many developers over the years ask us (consumers) to ask the anti-virus companies to look into their lists because they are getting false positives. I do not have time to find them all, but here is one example of BF asking us to contact AVG.

The more that complain, the faster they fix it.

UPDATE: Viva-Media is working on the download issues and hope to have a solution by the end of the day. Please be patient.

Richard, you were resent the code. Please check your email.

Ana I received the code and installed the game everything worked fine. Went to play the game but I can't get a full screen. Put a check on the full screen and applied, didn't do any good. The game will play but to small.

This was the same problem I had. No amount of clicking Full Screen will work. However, I closed the game and opened again, and what I had was Wide Screen, I guess, but still not full screen. Better than small window, but still windowed. I received an e-mail that they were looking to fix it, but I'm finished now.

I just finished the game in a couple minutes over 2 hrs.

The game wasn't bad, the music was appropriate, the puzzles were ok, nothing too challenging, the graphics were fine, some things were hard to find in HOS. The guide was outside with the menu, you have to leave the game to look at it. That was a nusance.

Thar's the same thing I got Flo. I emailed them, waiting for a reply. I got a wide screen to when I restarted the game but will wait for a full screen before I play. Thanks

Got a answer from Andrew re downloaded the game and it works good now. Played about 20 min.
Loaded with HOS. Not my cup of tee

Just got an email about an hour ago. I'm downloading now, so I guess we'll see. Haven't even been able to see the game yet, so I'm excited! grin

Andrew and Viva have been hard at work to get the kinks out. I thank you all for being patient and hope that the new links are working for you all now. Please do not forget you have to clear your old profiles not just the game. luck

I don't think I ever had an old profile since I couldn't even get the game to open. But, after following the directions in Andrew's email, I am happy to report that my game is up and running. Now I just need to find the time to try it out! Thanks for all your help, Ana! happydance

Hi BrownEyedTigre smile

In response to my email to Viva Media (re Norton Security removing the downloaded files) I was sent a new download link this morning - and I'm happy to say it worked fine, the game then installed fine and I am now playing it.

So plentiful of "fine" !! laugh

I will now relay my thanks to Viva Media right away yes

Cheers.

Hi

Gave up trying to get it to work on my computer - Vista and AVG, and downloaded it on my husband's computer - Windows 7 and McAfee. Although there was a security query, I managed to over-ride it and it works fine with a full-screen picture. Thanks Ana and Viva, looking forward to playing it

Glad you all seem to be able to play now. GrandmaKate, if you followed the directions in Andrew's email exactly and still unable to run can you please let them know that? In order for them to get their new download service working for all, they need to know what is not working. thanks

The first one had a built-in strategy guide, even though you had to back out to the main menu to access it. In the new download, this strategy guide is missing.

Well I guess I should have checked in here. lol The same thing happened to me. Norton deleted it before I could install it. I turned Norton off and redownloaded and could not get past the verification step.

I then emailed them and today, as I was busy the last few, I downloaded from the new link I was given and Norton said everything was fine. Game downloaded and installed just fine.

I then had a little trouble with activation with the copy/paste thing so just typed it in and whola....I can play the game and it looks like a good one too!!!

Hope everybody can get things all straightened out and play the game also!!

I emailed him this afternoon, haven't got a reply back yet. I expect that they are probably aware of it. I wouldn't be surprised if changing to the non-strategy guide version is the reason why that old profile folder had to be deleted.
