L4L, a house with no wall to wall carpet is a joy. I rented an apartment long ago with wall to wall and hated it. Then I rented a house with tile floors. Heaven. Then I moved and rented and later bought this one with hardwood BUT the Landlord had put down awful cheap bright orange wall to wall. Well, about 3 years into the rental we ripped out all the carpet and he never noticed. rotfl We actually rolled it up and stored it under the house just in case he remembered he had carpeting. He never did.

After tearing out that carpet we discovered why our potty trained cats were going in the corner of the living room and we couldn't figure it out. Yup, the dogs who inhabited it before us had used that corner for their personal potty.

No carpet, treated the floors, no more problems with kitties. AND if you get lonely for carpeting, you can buy wonderful room size (or area) rugs in lots of glorious patterns and you can change them when you get tired of them. AND they are easy to yank out and clean.

Always hated the yukky wall to wall although most people love it. I feel cleaner, no more allergy stuff from 'deep imbedded stuff' and no fleas living in the carpeting. Oh the joy of it all.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Connie, so sorry about the fire. Prayers out to the family. Glad they're safe and the animals too.

Ana, hope your weather gets better.

The second Marathon bomber is now in custody. Live coverage was incredible. Not sure what condtion he's in but I'm sure glad he's caught.

Sadly he is in bad condition. I usually wish that we waste no court money or cell space on these demons but in this case I think we need to hear what is behind this. I hope he survives so we can do that.

Gail he is being taken to MGH. He's in critical condition but they are saying he's conscious. Now the authorities will be protecting him I'm sure. Just glad it's finally over.

Night all. Early shift in the morning.

Midgie sleep hearts

Just do it.

Sorta, I'm with you. Our goal is to get the carpet out of the upstairs at some point. We pulled the carpet from the den awhile back, but we haven't been able to get new flooring in, but I'm fine with just the concrete. However, upstairs it would be just the wooden subfloors which would not be smooth, etc so can't yank that til we can replace with wood. At one point we had planned on doing it ourselves, but I think hubby and I are both past that these days. lol

Hi all, Yes, this day will go down in history I have no doubt, as will the day before..... So much going on and none of it happy, it makes my heart heavy and I really understand that term better now. Glad you aren't under water, Ana. Connie, I'm so sorry...just a short time and one's life is changed. Yes, I hope they can save the boy and find out what motivated them etc.. Head still spinning with all of it. Must need a pick me up game, so Happy Gaming everyone! wave

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Ana hope the moisture there is done soon and the corner is being kind.

Connie prayers that way!!!

Midge and Gail glad they have caught him and things are a little safer out there now.

Nan, yes son and hubby and kiddos are nuts. Son called a friend to go with them so my ticket was used. I'm a huge wuss when it comes to being cold.

I'm off to bed. Glad you are home safely, Nan.

Sleep well all sleep
