For some reason, I keep getting confused about what to do next in this game. The walkthrough has been helpful, thank goodness. I chased a pidgeon around Venice three times before I looked at the walkthrough to find the bird to click.
I've put tracking devices on three suspects and just bought a new outfit based on a letter I found in the trash. My PDA started beeping then, but I don't know what to do about that. I tried to call, but the line is busy. There's no message, and the tracker only flashes--doesn't direct me anywhere. The three people are still in their usual places. What does the beeping PDA mean?
Thanks so much. Maybe it's been too long since I played a Nancy Drew and I'm just rusty. But I seem to be going in circles in this game!

When you took the PDA at the bank - there was an instruction given with it when you use the ATM card on the slot. It states that: Antonio Fango is to be watched using the binoculars and an alert will be given by the PDA whenever he is at his office in the Argon building. The office can be seen at the balcony of Ca' Nascosta. So when that alert sounds on your PDA - Fango is in his office and should be watched.

Thanks, MaG. I had already trailed Fango, but you are right. The beep apparently meant that one of my other three suspects had moved. Not far, which is what confused me. She only went from the bathroom to her desk. LOL
Right now, I've been looking around to see if there are any other clues I've missed. Maybe I should go back to that ATM machine to see if there is more info there. Thanks for the reminder!

I chose to do Senior Detective, so I don't have a To Do list, just some notes, but I'll make sure to read them. Thanks. I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Making some progress.

I finally got back to my Nancy Drew game and finished it tonight. The dancing bit was a little tricky for me. I'm not sure if I succeeded or not. The guy told me that I was showing promise, but needed to take the suit home and practice. Is that the usual response, or did he just finally take pity on me? The other tricky part was the timed water well puzzle. Thank goodness for the walkthrough. I have trouble with anything requiring fast timed movements, whether dancing or turning knobs. Thanks for your help with my earlier question, MaG! You wrote the walkthrough, too, right?

I finished Phantom not too long ago. The tunnels were more confusing than the robot maze! If I remember correctly, some of those wheels turned water on and off where you don't see it right beside you. They're marked for the 3 different connected sections: circle, triangle, and diamond, which might be further down a tunnel or ladder. I had to use the walkthrough on this one because it was so complex and I'm terrible with directions. I get twisted around even in real life! Here's the link if you haven't found it yet: Phantom of Venice Walkthrough Also, there's a video walkthrough. The tunnel part is about half-way through this video. Phantom of Venice Video Walkthrough

I'm in the tunnels. I turned the water wheel but nothing happens. I've tried turning it both ways but nothing. Did I miss doing something?
-------- Sorry. I reposted my question by mistake.

Thanks, lanlynk. cmumm, Hope the walkthrough helps. It might work also if you go back to a saved game and follow the walkthrough line by line at start of that tunnel puzzle.
