I have the body of an eighteen year old. I keep it in the fridge.
Spike Milligan
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Signs Of Insanity
The Warning Signs of Insanity...
Everyone you meet appears to have tentacles growing out of places that you wouldn't expect tentacles to be growing from.
You start out each morning with a 30-minute jog around the bathroom.
You write to your mother in Germany every week, even though she sends you mail from Iowa asking why you never write.
Every time you see a street sign, you have a tremendous urge to relieve yourself on it.
You wear your boxers on your head because you heard it will ward of evil dandruff spirits.
You're always having to apologize to your next door neighbour for setting fire to his lawn decorations.
Every commercial you hear on the radio reminds you of death.
People stay away from you whenever they hear you howl.
Your breath smells more and more like squirrel dung each passing day.
Nobody listens to you anymore, because they can't understand you through that scuba mask.
You begin to stop and consider all of the blades of grass you've stepped on as a child, and worry that their ancestors are going to one day seek revenge.
You have meaningful conversations with your toaster.
Your father pretends you don't exist, just to play along with your little illusion.
You collect dead windowsill flies.
Every time the phone rings, you shout, "Hey! An angel just got its wings!"
You like cats. Especially with mayo.
You cry at the end of every episode of Gilligan's Island because they weren't rescued.
You put tennis balls in the microwave to see if they'll hatch.
You have a predominant fear of fabric softener.
Your dentist asks you why each individual tooth has your name etched on it, and you tell him it's for security reasons.
Melba toast excites you.
When the waiter asks for your order, you ask to go into another room to tell him because "the napkins have ears."
You tend to agree with everything your mother's dead uncle tells you.
You argue with yourself about which is better, to be eaten by a koala or to be loved by an infectious disease.
You like to sit in cornfields for prolonged periods of time, and pretend that you're a stalk.
You try to make a list of the Warning Signs of Insanity. (cough)
People offer you help, but you unfortunately interpret this as a violation of your rights as a boysenberry.
You keep thinking this is the year for the Red Sox.
You despise the voices in your head, especially the one that speaks only Hindi.
You see migrating flocks of ducks in the fall and only your attachment to the toaster keeps you from joining them.
The person you always talk to is invisible to everyone but you.
Reasons To Be Single
Cooking my own meals would be an adventure, not a punishment.
I wouldn't have to explain why I'm wearing "that" shirt with "those" pants.
I could leave the toilet seat in any position I [blip] well please.
I could actually tell the bartender, "If anyone calls, I'm here".
I'd be painting the town instead of the house.
When I get home after work, I don't have to start work again.
I could show my girlfriend where I live.
I'd be driving a miniskirt instead of a minivan.
The only weeds I'd be concerned with are the ones I'm rolling.
I would have saved $372,416.21 in groceries by now.
I wouldn't catch so much grief about those skid-marks in my underwear!
I'd get to see what my paycheck looks like.
I'd get to see what my credit cards look like.
You can see a different face when you wake up in the morning, every day of the week!
Going to a strip club doesn't have to be a covert mission.
Bachelors don't have Mother-in-laws.
I wouldn't have to watch sub-titled French films.
I could come home drunk to sleep, instead of under a bridge.
I could use my own name at hotels.
I wouldn't have a driving instructor grading me every time I go somewhere.
When asked his opinion, a single guy can say "Hell yes, you're fat!".
Good morning everyone. Happy Easter, Haroula. bunny Midge, birthday to your mom. Sis got home safely and so did Robert. Sis and I had a nice visit. Robert's trip was not so nice. Rain and rough seas all week. The one day they did get out the boat motor didn't play nice. Breakfast out this morning, then a Sam's trip. To all here and all who follow, have a Wonderful Sunday. Danish, Omelets, and Muffins in the NC. spring
Super Sunday ya'll puppy
It is noisy and chaotic here. Soot and I will be going to see "Gods of Carnage" in a bit. Maybe this is the universes way of preparing us. lol
I have been up, but been "entertaining". Will resume the cleaning spree when we get back from the play for an hour or two.
Back later wave
I forgot to report on Sorta's Neighborhood yesterday! Silly me. Well, the people down the block, had ANOTHER party. They have them every few months (maybe once a month, I haven't kept track) and it's noticeable because cars in droves start parking all over the place. Usually the activity starts around 10:30pm or later and continues until 4 or 5 am the next day.
This time I recorded the activity on my security camera because one of the cars unloading in front of my house had 5 young males and they had mega beer and other liquor. They were acting very weird and it turned out they emptied 2 cans of beer in the street and left the cans near my phone pole. At first I thought they were doing graffiti but it was only the littering.
So the music isn't very loud, but it's continuous, and it's 3 houses up on the other side of the street. The house is always 'blacked out'. All lights off, a RED porch light turned on, and the party is in the back yard with a tarp closing the entrance so nothing is visible from the street.
The recording I got was awesome. 10:30pm until 4am I have hundreds of cars, coming and going. It looked like rush hour on the freeway! The cars never stopped parking and u-turning and moving all over. Each car had at least 2-6 young people.
I'm sure that most of them are underage for drinking. I think it was a 'pay to drink' party where you pay an entry fee and can drink all you want. They 'issue' you a special colored plastic cup for ID. These cups were all over the neighborhood the next morning, up to 3 blocks away in every direction! Along with the cups were empty or partly empty beer, rum, vodka, tequila, etc. bottles sitting on the sidewalk, in the street and in the gutters AND in the yards of homes along the way.
From the number of cars and people and figuring 5 bucks a head 'entry' I figure these people probably made at least 5k for the night.
So the most fun was the guy who walked down to my driveway from the party with I assume his girlfriend. He proceeded to relieve himself against my hedge at 1:30 AM and again at 2:30 am and then walked back to the party. The first time, he was on his cell phone telling someone else how to find the party! Multi-tasking at its finest. They must put it on facebook or tweet it or something. No way these were just friends of the family.
I have now moved one of my 'video camera recording in use' signs right where he watered my vegetation. I'm almost sure he was the same guy who did this several months ago, only then he was with 2 other males. Ya never wanna give up a GOOD potty place right?
So next time this starts, I'm calling the cops, telling them there is an underage drinking party at that address and save my bushes. All the ground cover dies right in that spot and it frequently smells like urine. I'm pretty sure this guy lives in the neighborhood and knows the spot he likes. So rude.
So the action continues in Sorta's Neighborhood. Stay tuned for another exciting installment next time. sherlock
Sorta, I'm glad you have a sense of humor about all that.
Back from the play, son is at work, boys back with mom. Time to tackle the frig. I can't ever figure out how it can get so grimy! wave
