I am in Charlotte's room, facing the clock puzzle. Problem is, I can't set the clocks. The rotational ikon is present, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Trying to drag the clock hands doesn't work either. The walk-thru just says to set the clocks, but it doesn't say exactly how to do this.

What am I missing?

Thanx, Antoinetta

Do you have a key for the mantle?

Click to reveal..
If not, Go down to the cellar. Open the secret passage using the handle of the barrel stands.

Climb the spiral staircase and look through the slats.

Hear someone trying to open a door. Look through slats and see Wade trying to open Charlotte's bedroom.

He hears something and runs away. He drops something. Exit through slat panel.

Pick up the antique key Wade dropped.

Enter Charlotte's bedroom.

Go to the fireplace and use the antique key dropped by Wade on the lock at right side under the mantel. This unlocks the clocks.
Thanks to MaG for the information here is from the walkthrough.

Thanks, Kootsie. smile I added spoiler tags to your post so that other readers of this thread won't learn more about the game than they want to know. wave

I am trying to figure out the password. I have gone to all the graves and even took pictures of each one. I can figure out the password but also have the walkthrough. When I put the password on the phone, it rejects it. I also put the scavenger hunt sheet up near the phone and called Adison. I must have missed something.

Hi Grandma, have you tried putting the password again into the phone and then hitting enter, just to make sure that you entered the letters correctly?

Otherwise, maybe there is something else on your task list that needs doing first. Have you followed the instructions from the note to meet the ghost? wave

Hi, Kootsie, yes I have the key. I put it in the keyhole under the mantle, and pulled the lever. The clocks all spin around, and then I went to focus on the first clock. I get the close-up, and the rotational symbols, but the only thing that happens is that the arrows change direction when I move the cursor from side to side.

Clicking does nothing, nor does trying to drag the clock hands by clicking and holding down the mouse-button, like you do at the King's clock in Messenger.

Thanx again, Antoinetta

Yes, opened both sections of it, and got the stuff inside.

Now that you mention the jewelry box, I noticed that after opening it, I can't check it off on my task-list; Nancy just says "Haven't done that yet."

I just went back to a previously saved game in my Ghost of Thornton Hall, where I could get back to the clock puzzle.

Click to reveal..
I inserted the key under the mantle (the keyhole is kind of hard to see but is underneath the second clock from the right, under the mantle), I then pulled the lever and watched the clock hands on the clocks turn around, then went into a closeup of the first clock on the left and what I get is a circular arrow in which to turn the clock hands either to the left or to the right.

So, I am not sure why this is not working for you, unless there is something else that you need to do first (I can't think of any other reason). Maybe someone else here will have a good suggestion. wave

Marian, when you got the circular arrows, how did you then interact with the game to move the clock hands? Do you hold and drag, or just click on either side of the clock-face? When I click on the clock, there is a loud "clunk" sound, but the clock hands don't move.

I left-click on either side of the clock face.

And I just restored to that saved game again and when I go to the clock on the lefthand side having used the lever but not the key, I then get a clicking sound when I try to move the arrow hands and they do not move, but it isn't what I would describe as a clunk.

I really hope we can get this figured out. wave
