My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing will begin in five minutes.

Los Alamos Secured
The Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico, a supposedly high-security nuclear weapons facility, has had a series of infamous screw-ups in where top secret information has been misplaced or stolen.

Top attempts to tighten security at the Los Alamos lab include...

18. Ask Napster to kindly remove all Los Alamos nuclear secrets from the download share list.

17. All researchers are given amnesia-producing mallet blow each night, memory-restoring mallet blow the next morning.

16. All documents will now be encrypted in the new, unbreakable "Ig-pay Atin-lay" format.

15. Hard drives now equipped with Lojack tracking systems.

14. "Accidental" radiation leak turns regular security guards into meaner, tougher mutant security guards.

13. Barkless Basenji guard dog replaced with out of work Taco Bell Chihuahua.

12. Cease giving out day passes over the radio to the "15th foreign national who calls right now!"

11. Janitors Boris and Mao swear that "Jake the Security Guard is a commie [blip]. Start there, comrade!"

10. Immediately suspend "you break it, you bought it" policy on hard drives.

9. Chinese take-out no longer a lunch option.

8. All communication in secured areas must now be done in Klingon. Added benefit: the scientists are thrilled!

7. a) "Accidentally" leave plans for latest weapon by the office water cooler. b) First country to utilize a $5 billion [blip] Bomb clearly the guilty party.

6. Cafeteria Happy Meals no longer include a free ZIP disk.

5. Visitors answering the guard's challenge with "Foe" now required to sign guest book before entry.

4. Security guards limited to one "WHAAZZZUUP!" walkie-talkie conversation per hour.

3. Finally allow Chief of Security Barney Fife to load his gun.

2. "Shave and a Haircut" knock replaced with more secure "My Sharona" knock.

1. From now on, all security guards must pass the new "Your Behind From a Hole in the Ground" test.

Thanks for the jokes Joe and good luck with the hunt.

Good morning Joe, Anna, Manxman, SpaceQuestFan and Haroula!

I bought a car. Now I'm free of the hospital and pain and I have transportation.Things are great for me now. The first thing I did when I got my car was get a speeding ticket! taz However, I got let off with a slap on the wrist. Could have ticketed me for more (didn't have my new insurance card with me) so I'm going to look on it as a wakeup call to "Obey the Law". grin

I am a very happy person right now. I'm wishing my happiness on you and all Gameboomers!

Good morning Boomies wave

No connection yesterday so today, as soon as I saw the green light coming on again, I rushed to the PC and here I'am, tiping very fast before the light goes out again....

Sharon: I'am so happy for you bravo

Lotus: how is your Mum doing? Still praying for her. Is there also Aspirin Cardio to get in the States? My Mum is, after 3 strokes in the last few years, on them Aspirin cardios and is happy with them. MaG is right though: no cutting the fingers (or any place else)!

Nan and everybody suggesting to read or game, two days ago: I was indeed doing a bit of this and a bit of that (cleaning and reading I mean). No, I never read The Hobbit before, but I've read Lord of the Rings approx. 5x.... And I didn't see the film either. The book is hilarious (except the part with the big spiders.. eek...)

Happy day to you all. Enjoy.

Evelyne

Thumping Good Thursday ya'll puppy

Hubby and I and the doggies had a great outing at the park. There were a lot of folks there, more than I've seen yet. Saw 2 people that I haven't seen in years...both ladies and both without their normal makeup and hair...so took me a second to recognize them. One is my next door neighbor. rotfl I see her husband from time to time out back but seldom see her.

Son has the morning off so I'm trying to keep the monkeys quiet so he can sleep. His bedroom is at the back right where the neighbor's dogs like to bark, so we try not to add to the chaos.

I'll be off later to do some errands.

Woohooo Joe, I hope you get home early and finds lots of perfect points.

Manx wave

Ana, may the corner be fun and quick.

Space, yes it is. Are you off on Monday?

Haroula, have a great day.

SharonB, woooohoooo and grats happydance So glad things are going well for you.

Cailyn, thanks for the coffee. How are you?

Gimli, I think Hobbit was the first fantasy book I read. I want to live in Bilbo's house.

Gerry, anything fun on the docket today?

Venus wave Happy whooshing!

Connie, thanks for the bacon sandwiches. How is everyone?

Midgy, I hope you have some fun in your day.

Happy skooshing, Darlene wave

Back later

Oh what a wonderful day. Last night a stupid Apartment guy parked his car directly in front of my gate where I needed to put my trash can for pick up today.

So I waited all evening and finally gave up and dragged it behind his car, hoping he wouldn't back into it. This morning his car was gone (nice) but then I noticed a small paper on the ground which came out of my trash.

Yup, after weeks of no transients digging in my trash and messing up everything by opening all the neat little plastic bags and my compactor bag, last night someone did it again. Tore open everything, dragged out yukky icky cat food cans covered with cat litter and poop and left the inside of my trash can a slimy, stinking mess.

I guess I'll have to go back to putting my cans out in the morning although getting up early and dressed isn't what I want. Now I have to wash my can after they empty it. Gonna FIND that guy and make HIM wash it (I wish).

Off to watch Star Trek at the theatre this morning. Will miss my Trial stuff on a crucial day, but I can't sit around forever waiting for something to happen.

I'm hoping they come back with a verdict while I'm gone so I can stop the insanity.

OH and for everyone who asked, NO fireworks since the fire department and police were over there! Crossing fingers, hoping they threatened and scared everyone they talked to and that the news gets around. Already have 3 of my neighbors committed to calling the minutes we hear any go off on the 4th. We will all call the non-emergency number en masse and hope they can rush over to catch the culprits and finally put an end to the constant bangs and fire danger.

Off to watch Trial and wait for friend to go see Star Trek. Wheeeeeee.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

SharonB -Freedom yippee- take the speeding in stride, who cares anyway. How's your kitty, is she looking better -did she recognize you.

This post will be fast and furious because my big cat, Schemer Baby is helping. Helping(?)

Instead of playing Halo last evening, I watched Judge Judy on youtube. Entertainment plus. For 2 hours and perhaps more. Haven't seen her in years because I don't have TV. Due to cash flow restrictions it was either games or TV.

Boo-Hoo. Grasshoppers ate my pomagranet plants -both of which I planted from seed. Now it's going to be another whole year befor I'll get more seeds.

Happy Thursday all

This morning though we had a humongous storm dump 3" of rain in about two hours. woot

I came home and went down to the creek, and it is a raging river. happydance

It's up at least 4 or 5 feet.

WAA HOO! penguin

I won't be doing any hunting at the creek tomorrow though I'm afraid. smirk

It'll take a few days for the water to recede enough. razz

Gotta pizza cooking......and ready.

I'll be back.

Hi Everyone! Just a fast flyby. We have been planting more trees. Hubby says no more!! I would like to cover our acreage in them but he likes his expansive lawns...have to admit they do look nice too. Today we put in some river birches. They like to have their feet wet and should be happy in our climate. Off I go to finish laundry. Happy Gaming everyone!! wave

Lotus, I'm with you...I love trees, the more the better.

Finally back from my errands. Took much longer than I thought but I did find something to wear to daughter's promotion next week. I will have to hem, but that's not a problem...I always have to hem.

Had a nice stroll through the grocery store. Now sitting and sipping before I go up to cook.

Son called to ask if the boys could come tonight and could I watch them tomorrow please. They are supposed to be here just in time for bed so as they once said in Star Trek, "They be no tribble at all." wave
