Good morning everyboomie. welcome

You know after 61 years your mind starts to evaporate to heck in a handbag. smirk

Every time you get less than 8 hours sleep a night you lose 2% of your brain's capacity. eek

Any time you get up at 3:30am you actually lose 3% of your brains. shocked

Did you know that every day that you do not spend at least 4 hours hunting arrowheads 5 cubic centimeters of your brain dies? crazy

That's really pretty bad.

That's like watching Dr Phill. rolleyes

That's like having to listen to my sister tell me about her day. hardwall

My brain's on it's last cerebral leg.

Visitation will be this coming Wednesday.

Bring beer.

I heard that beer is like a fountain of youth elixir on the brain. dance

Have a happy day all.

Good Morning Boomers

Joe, You're too funny to lose brain power.

Darlene, enjoy your time off.

Ana, clening house is like putting a puzzle together anyway.

Haroula, happy day wished.

Cailyn, horrible weather for campers this weekend. My daughter is attempting it.

Gerry, enjoy the day.

Venus, easy day at work is wished for you.

Looks like a not so good weekend for weather around here. Not sure what plans will develop.

Fantastic Friday ya'll puppy

Hubby and I popped up bright and early to get the monkeys walking. While we were in the kitchen leashing up the dogs, Cully came popping around the door and yelled "Surprise."

So, Soot told the Cully to go back to bed and we'd get him when we got back. <roll eyes> Yeah, right, as soon as we left he went down to get his dad up and tell him "Mama L4L told me to come down and get you up."

Big Soot is at work and son is at work. The boys are running around being boys. In one second I'm going to go feed them and then we are going to the park. It is a beautiful day out there.

Tonight we are going to a ball game, so today will be busy.

Ooops, a second is up. wave

Good morning everybody. wave

This morning I HAVE to mow the lawn, good Lord willing, and the creek don't rise.

oops I forgot. The creek has risen and it's raining now, so there go those plans. snicker

I went to Walmart for essentials, and I have put those up.

Now what to do? What to do? think

I'm going to the creek after the rain, make no mistake. I won't be doing anything but observing the depth of the water though. frown

The wait is definitely worth it though. I've been praying for a flood event like this to wash the creek out and get rid of leaves, limbs and grass. yes

For now I may have to do a little gaming. I've been playing BIA again. bravo

I hope you all have a super day. rah

No I'm not just getting up. lol Been up a long time. Me and Sassy took a nice long, over a mile, walk. Then home and got ready for a doc appointment. Finished that and off to Menards, Target, and Walgreens!! Home now to relax before heading out with the taxi and on to work the fish fry!!

Joe thanks for the chuckles. Sorry about the rain and the creek so high. Soon though you will be finding all kinds of lovely arrowheads.

Ana, Ana, Ana sounds like you are going to be busy, busy, busy! lol At least there seems to be some fun things too.

Darlene nice!! Enjoy the extra long weekend!! Never been a wine drinker but maybe I should try one of those and see if I like it. I know a red wine is good for the heart and appetite.

Haroula have a lovely day!

Cailyn sorry about the rain for the long week end campers. 50's??? We are just now today making it that warm. Was 28 out there this morning.

Gerry have a lovely day!

venus another day?? WooHoo!! May work fly and go well.

Gail sounds like a gaming day??? Good luck to daughter!!

Connie have a lovely day!

Connie have a fun day. Thanks for the danish!!

L4l glad you were able to get the run in while it wasn't too warm. have a lovely day! Have fun at the ball game!!

Prayers for the Band of Angels around all of you that will be traveling this holiday weekend. May it be a fun and safe time!!

Howdy-hoo. Been dealing with freezing temps, rain and high winds most of this week.
Looks like now I'm stuck in front of the computer..

Better get this posted whiz-bang-zoom because thunder in the distance and it is heavy and loud. Did the groceries this AM and bought some niceys at our department store like sandles etc because on the 30th I'll be in Dallas to see my granddaughter graduate from high school and a gameboomer must look nice. I better not cry. And then on Friday, the31st we are going to a very good restaurant to celebrate. But due to Mr Arthritis I can barely hold a fork. We shall see what happens. Coming home that Saturday.

Nan, hope the dr. visit went well. We were cool at 53 this morning. Enjoy the fish!

It was much less humid so the boys and I had a nice stint at the park. Plans have changed and son has to work tonight as well so the boys are down for a nap now so they can wait up for dad tonight. No ballgame for us.

Soot should be on his way home any minute. Once he gets here I'm gonna lie down for a bit. Love the boys but they do drain me. I can't go now cos the boys are sleeping in son's room so someone has to keep an ear out so they don't wake up and rampage.

Quest, are you off on Monday?

Eeek, Trippy, it does not sound like summer has found you all yet. I'd rather be stuck in front of the computer than in freezing rains. Stay dry and warm. How are the pups? puppy

Spent the day moping because of the 'non-verdict' yesterday in the trial I'd been watching. Finally got out to the thrift store and found some HALL china. Got a pitcher, sugar and creamer. Also 2 bowls. Passed on the Salt and Pepper (actually both were Pepper) but might go back for those now that I know what they are selling for on Ebay. Oh boy. It was a good day. Got exhausted waiting around for more of the Hall stuff to come out. They put out stuff on big carts every 1/2 hour or so. I'll probably be missing some of it now that I'm home, but I am pooped!

Hey everybody. wave

Well I went ahead and mowed the lawn. I was kinda wet, but I got it done.

Then I worked on filling in the ruts that the rain has caused in our drive for a couple of hours until I was ready to collapse from exhaustion. tired

After I cooled off I took Baby to the creek to see what was happening. The water has receded more than I expected, so I spent some time looking around. After over an hour, and again feeling exhausted, I started to go back to the house, but I looked down the creek to the next sand bar, and decided to go over and have a look there.

In about 9 inches of running water I saw a point shape and carefully reached in and picked it up. I figured just like a thousand times before, it was a point shaped piece of sand stone, but what I picked up was..... THIS. woot

Made my whole day off worth while. penguin

Joe, that is a beautiful piece! Love the color! What a great day indeed!

Nan, hope the doc visit went well. hearts

Yankee, Congrats on your granddaughters graduation! Have a safe trip.

Hubby just got home from a wake with daughter. His niece from his first marriage passed away. It's a shame to have to go to funeral of someone who should be just starting their lives, not ending them. sad

I guess I haven't checked in today. I worked this morning and then got a lot of things done. My trip is next Friday. I'm going with my clients to Mike **** 55th college reunion in Amherst. We'll be leaving for there on Friday and coming home on Sunday. Should be fun. So in the meantime I'll have to pack.

See you in the morning. I don't have to work until 5:00 tomorrow evening. Night all.

Midgie hearts sleep

Joe that is truly lovely thumbsup

Boys are fed. We had homemade chicken and potato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. The Per took a bite of the soup and I said, "How is it?" And he said, "It's yu....good." Too funny.

After supper we discovered that the toilet in the main bathroom was tired and did not wish to work. Soot bopped to the store to get a part, but alas, it was closed. The bad news is the toilet won't get fixed until tomorrow. The good news is he is back so he is now letting the boys play in their "color" bath. Cullen is totally dirty but Per is pretty clean, even though they both played hard.

Son is hoping to be home 10ish. If he is not, we will go ahead and put the boys to bed cos Soot and I will want to go. We are tired lol

Oh Ana, that is so hard. Hugs to hubby and his daughter.

Midgy, that does sound like fun.

Soot has a 1 day work week next week. Monday is a holiday, he works Tuesday, and then we leave on Wednesday for Ohio so we can be at daughter's promotion ceremony on Thursday. We will leave on Friday or perhaps, Saturday depending on how things are going.

edit: Oh dear, Sky has learned a new trick. He let himself into the dining room through the baby gate while I was cleaning the kitchen so when I left the kitchen and shooed dogs out, I didn't see him. I came down to the den, but the kids have stuff out down here so the dogs can't be in here right now so I didn't realize he was missing.

Then I heard knocking from the bathroom and thought Soot wanted something. On the way up, I passed the kitchen and saw Sky. Opened that gate and could tell Sky had something in his mouth. Took it out, and it was the top to my Vitamix sad Bad doggie, sad mommmy!

L4L, are you traveling with the dogs? What is daughters new rank?

Midgie, glad you have most of the day to yourself tomorrow. How nice you are going with your client next weekend. Is this a work related accompaniment or personal?

Oh dear, son just called and said he is going to have work longer than expected, so we will be putting the boys to bed.

Ana, daughter will be a staff sergeant as of June 1st. We will take Skywalker and Lil Soot with us as they need more watching than the older guys. Big Soot will go regardless, but if daughter is still babysitting the pit bull I will bow out.

I know that pit bulls when raised right and trained are perfectly fine dogs, but I know this one has not been. He is neglected by his owner and cared for when owner leaves town by daughter. I would not be nervous around him for myself, but would be anxious if it were Mick, Vader, Chief, Skywalker, and Lil Soot. She is out of town right now so I'll talk with her on Monday.
