Despite the ever more teetery stack of "not yet played" games looking down at me from my shelves, I just couldn't resist a replay of "Lost Horizon" - and I have not been disappointed !!
I'm about two thirds of the way through now and so far it seems to have been even better than I remembered from the first time happydance

The trouble is, I could too easily be tempted into more replays. There are just so many goodies to choose from. And indeed, "Blade Runner" already seems to be exerting intense magnetism even as I type snicker

That's wonderful, Mad. When I replay several years later a game that I loved, it's almost like I am playing it for the first time and I also notice things that I didn't notice before. smile

Mad I love playing my old games over. When it's been a long time between I find I enjoy it even more! It's like rereading a favorite book! wave

I've been playing Lost Horizon off and on for the past few days. Just getting started in Chapter 2, but am enjoying the story, dialogue, and gameplay. It seems mainly inventory puzzles, at least so far. This is my first time to play it. Lots of fun.

I've played Jack Keane, Broken Sword 1-3, 80 Days, Runaway 1 & 2, and Diamon Jones 1-3--and now Lost Horizon. All the heroes in these have a similar kind of personality and humor, I think.

I too just recently started playing Lost Horizon. It's the best adventure game that I've played in a good while and I'm really enjoying it.
Amazon has it on for $2.49 download , unbelievable! To anyone that's not played it yet I would recommend it.

The magic of Lost Horizon does not appear to have worked on me. But I gave up just before reaching the (I don't know what, at the top of some mountain), maybe it will become better. I should get back to it eventually and see what I am missing.

There's a lot of dialogue and cut scenes. Sometimes I feel like it's more of an interactive movie. But I'm still only about half-way through.

Not difficult. Entertaining. It's typical of inventory-puzzle games. Most of the time, the inventory choices make sense; sometimes the solutions are just off the wall. lol

I consider Lost Horizon to be reminiscent of the older (fabulous) traditional Adventure games - such as the early Broken Swords etc.

Most of which were inventory-puzzle based games and many of which are still amongst my favourites and still re-played !! lol

So if you're not a fan of that style, Lost Horizon might not appeal.

It seems a long time since I played Lost Horizon but remember it as being a very good & enjoyable game! Probably because it is reminiscent of some of older games such as the early Broken Swords which I've recently replayed!

I don't want to be tempted into too many replays as I have a stack of games that I haven't played once yet!

waveThanks for the reminder of how great this game is- I played it a few months ago and will play it again soon.
I have a shelf full of older games I want to replay, but problem is I keep finding new ones-seems to be a common complaint here on GB crazy

I just finished Lost Horizon. What a lot of fun! Loved the story too. I haven't done the bonus extras yet. I'll save those for tomorrow. Fenton was great! And I liked how we switched characters for game play, especially at the end.
bravo

Blade Runner Rocks. Phil Dick's stories are all great and it was exciting to see one turned into an adventure game. I wish someone would do a "Black Mesa" to it and turn it into a FPA (first person adventure..I know, I know ;-) )

If I manage to find time at some point, I must play this again. I never realised there were bonus extras at the time! blush
